Syracuse center J’Onre Reed has announced he will transfer to USC. He was a two-year starter.
There were nine centers in the Atlantic Coast Conference who were named to the first three teams or honorable mention ACC teams. Reed wasn’t one of them.
But USC needs a center despite what Lincoln Riley said about Kilian O’Conner before the Las Vegas Bowl.
“He’s a really good, tough player,” Riley said. “He knows our offense inside and out, and it’s been pretty seamless up to this point in terms of practicing and commanding the offensive line from that position.”
