Cornerback Granted Extra Year Enters Transfer Portal

When Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia was granted an extra year of eligibility, USC cornerback DeCarlos Nicholson made a big deal (before the Las Vegas Bowl) on social media about getting a lawyer so he could get an extra year.

The NCAA ended up granting the extra year to those who played junior college so it was assumed Nicholson would start for USC next season.

Well, Nicholson just entered the transfer portal (of course).

So he’s off. That’s college football in 2025.
