USC Finds Its General Manager

USC has hired Chad Bowden to be its general manager for football. He was at Notre Dame.

Bowden will make $1 million after being paid $300,000 at Notre Dame.

So what will the excuse be now if USC loses?

It’s amazing the amount of expenditure required for a guy who has won 15 of his past 28 games.

He’s getting more than $10 million a year in salary, pays his defensive coordinator more than $2 million and has a glitzy football building costing more than $100 million on the way.

And now he needs a $1 million general manager.

But if he loses, people will still blame it on NIL or some other excuse.

Dave Emerick, who was the general manager, is becoming chief of staff.

    1. UCLA can not afford to pay Pasadena for the use of the Rose Bowl. They are in breach of their lease agreement with no means of paying back rents. Does Pasadena tell them to find a new venue and if so where do they go.

      1. UCLA must shut down their failed football program, destroyed by the public employee Affirmative Action AD’s Dan “Chianti” Guerrero and Martin Jarmond. It’s crazy that California thought it could replace all the competent people with lazy, stupid, visionless incompetents and weird androgynous freaks and everything would just continue to magically work out somehow.

  9. So ucla football had a ’24 debt of $50-million, but will be bailed out with about $70-million a year coming through the BIG. But even at that rate it will take 10-years to wipe away the bruins’ $200-million total debt
