Lincoln Riley said today that new general manager Chad Bowden and his hand-picked team will “run the show” with recruiting for USC.
This aligns with what I said this morning about Bowden’s power.
Bowden then said USC will focus more on high school recruiting than the transfer portal and make recruiting in California a top priority.
You can see the changes from what Riley’s preferred to do here. Do you think a guy who makes $10 million-plus a year wants to be told how to recruit?
Let’s hope Riley hates it so much he looks for other jobs next year.

Newsom declared California a sanctuary state in violation of the Supremacy clause of the Constitution. He refuses to assist ICE with the deportation of violent criminal aliens. He has also provided illegals with billions in state welfare assistance including free housing and health care. And he just held an emergency meeting with the legislature to transfer 50 million to the state’s budget for legal fees to combat Trump’s deportation agenda. He did this after asking Trump for billions in federal emergency relief funds. Why would Trump give him the requested funds under these circumstances. Plow Horse, I was willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt at the start of his second term. Some of his actions make plenty of sense, but rebuilding Gaza at the expense of American communities is unfair and unwarranted. I don’t think any American should be involved in building a giant pothole in a hostile area with literally millions of enemies ready to kill us and no security from the sorry Israelis like Bibi’s son who instead of going to fight for his homeland, spends his days in luxury in Miami while sending “equipment” to his more courageous countrymen who are fighting for Israel’s existence.
