Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid wanted to go to USC and enrolled at Glendale College on the recommendation of Trojans coaches. Reid didn’t get any Division I offers when he graduated from Marshall High School in Los Angeles.
Reid eventually went to BYU after spending two years at Glendale College (1976-77).
Reid was a graduate assistant at BYU in 1982. Who else was on that staff? Norm Chow.

Since it is Super Bowl Sunday, interesting note since Scott occasionally writes about Los Angeles High School, the first Super Bowl in 1967 was referred by Dr. Norm Schacter who was also the principal at Los Angeles High School at that time.
