A former USC player who spent time around the program at various times last season tells me he was shocked at how little mention of the importance of the Crosstown Rivalry was made during the week of the UCLA game.
“You wouldn’t know we were playing a huge rival,” the player said. “It wasn’t treated with importance.”
Is it a surprise given how little Lincoln Riley cares about USC’s tradition?

Rob Ryan has a larger than life personality. I hope he brings more USC former players back to practices and games. He has the ability to fire up players. Hopefully, that will help with the rivalry games.
