Money No Object With USC Football

USC has hired Logan Snead, the son of Rams general manager Les Snead, as a recruiting and NCAA Transfer Portal analyst, per Football Scoop.

It’s another hire for Chad Bowden as he remakes the football office. Was Lincoln Riley involved at all in the hire? Whether Snead proves more than being the son of a GM remains to be seen.

If nothing else, it demonstrates again the power Bowden is wielding at the moment with the blessing of Jen Cohen. Money is no object.

      1. Well, we did recently have a brain dead person serving as the President of the United States. So anything is possible.

I wish Joe well, but his voters also had to have been pretty close to vegetable status to think it was a good idea to vote for him.

DON: The Department of Education was funding a resource for teachers, which argues that black children must start “decolonizing the mind” from whiteness, capitalism, and individualism. White people, especially “anti-woke” whites, do not have “permission to accuse BIPOC of being racist.” Bye Bye!

    1. This is sick. “Decolonizing from Capitalism and individualism.” Pure Marxist garbage! This type of commie thinking has a source. It is in the colleges. Time to audit them along with the Department of Education. Colleges that advance communism and are antisemitic and will not allow ROTC on campus like most of the ivy league should not be receiving Federal funding.

    1. 67: If your a defensive player, the most important coaches are the position coaches and the defensive coordinator. We now have some great coaches on that side of the ball. This is a significant development. I am hoping that Riley will leave this side of the game alone and let the defense thrive. If this happens, we can be a very good team even if Riley is not a great coach as long as he recruits and develops quarterbacks and calls a good offensive game.

      1. Plow, I hope you are right. It it surreal that we leased what appeared to be a Ferrari and it turned out to be a Kia. And now, I worry we are adding a custom exhaust, re-programming the engine, and placing bigger wheels and tires on the car. But it is still a Kia. This is what Swan did with Helton at the end of the 2018 season, and Helton was still just a jazzed-up Kia.

      1. Saw a great post about that subject: “Blaming Kamala’s incoherent word salads on her being an alcoholic is insulting to alcoholics. This woman is just straight up stupid – doesn’t matter if she’s sober or drunk – she’s always stupid.” Amazing that even 40% of the country was stupid enough to vote for that. We may as well have zombies walking among us.

  7. Scooter,

I went to the SC baseball game on sunday. They had a pretty good turn out. Starting ptiching was pretty good until the 3rd or 4th inning. One relief pitcher had problmes. GW was ahead 5-0 but SC fought back the next few innings and a homerun was hit to take SC ahead. Ethen Hedges showed up and closed the game out. SC is 3-0 and play UC Irvine tonight. We will see how the season turns out. I am hoping for the playoffs.
