USC Morning Buzz: Some Odd Pro Day Marks

I hope USC safety Bryson Shaw did not get hurt at Pro Day because he did only five reps on the benchpress. Shaw always gave a lot of effort during his career so hopefully nothing went wrong.

Easton Mascarenas-Arnold and Jamil Muhammad did 25 reps, which is a good number.

Another odd mark was wide receiver Kyle Ford’s 40 time (4.72). That would have ranked as the slowest 40 time at the recent NFL Combine. The top 10 times at the combine were 4.39 or faster.

  • Eric Musselman improved to 10-0 in first-round games of conference tournaments as USC beat Rutgers in double overtime last night. Ah wonderful, ah wonderful, ah wonderful.

USC plays Purdue tonight (not on Peacock) around 6 p.m. PT on the Big Ten Network.

      4. I recall Michael the Barrister lives quite far from Lahaina. The Palisades looks like it was fire bombed. Such a tragedy, and one that was preventable had additional resources been at the ready in the Palisades.

Cowardly Gabby conveniently forgets that San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom was rocked by scandal when it was revealed his best friend and re-election campaign manager resigned after confronting the mayor about an affair Newsom had with his wife while she worked in the mayor’s office. Newsom had to sit out the Governor’s race and watch Jerry Brown be the fill-in governor while he rebuilt his life with his new bimbo wife . The bronze bust was part of his rebuilding project.

        Yesterday Gabby admitted that he had no intention of appearing for a boxing match. “Nobody fights over what is said on a blog.” He was incredulous that anyone should ask for an apology. (Posting fraudulently as steveg) In Gabby’s world, men are not the protectors and providers for their families. You can insult their wives, daughters, and mothers with impunity. He has has no code of honor and therefore believes that nobody else should live by one. Although he admits that he will not back up his words with a boxing match, he has now dishonesty posted at least 10 times the exact same response about how he showed up at the gym in Miami. Is this suppose to be amusing? Please stop ruining our blog with repetitive copy and paste posts.

  10. It was that huge-and-tough Purdue center that killed SC, but his one redeeming quality was being born to a drop-dead gorgeous mother that the camera continuously wandered to.

  11. A first-time viewer of SC basketball as Purdue fans were, the take-aways are that they are lucky Claude did not play more, and that the Trojans don’t just settle for 3s but attack the basket.

    The ‘Buildingmakers’ can drive to this Indianapolis stadium from Purdue, so it was 50% rooting for Purdue 50% not caring much and 0% for SC.

    But the Trojans are used to never having ‘home court advantage even when at home, and so they played indifferently to the crowd and went about their business efficiently in a losing cause

  12. Comic Rodney Dangerfield would start off with “What a crowd, what a crowd!”– The Purdue crowd was relatively mute because SC was in the lead, slight as it was, until the last minute. But they all liked the ending

    But sad to say goodbye to Claude; even Purdue’s coach talked about how he had planned for Claude but then he still almost won the game
