Does any athletic dept. besides USC promote its general manager more than the actual football coach? It’s such an indictment of Lincoln Riley.
General manager Chad Bowden will lead off tonight’s episode of the Trojans Live show.
Bowden has constantly been featured/promoted since he arrived at USC, way more than Riley. I view this all as Jen Cohen showing who she would like to be the face of the program.
I’ll bet Bowden would be willing to meet with alumni and students, so in that sense I’d promote him too. Riley won’t do it.
But when you have to shamelessly promote the GM, it says you have a problem with the coach.
I’ll bet Bowden goes to the pep rally before the UCLA football game!

I want Rob Ryan to be the face of the program. Can you imagine how much fun he would be at a rally or post game tailgate party or alumni fundraiser. He’s unpredictable, larger than life with a million stories. I would rather hear Ryan talk about what happened in the game than any other coach.

Scooter,
Riley is doing an injustice to SC by not having a spring game. If he is afraid of other teams seeing what he wants to do, then all he has to do is run the ball up the middle two times and on third down throw to the tight end on a curl route. Do that for the entire spring game. I have $10 to buy Riley out.

Bowden is the man – one reason to have hope for the future.

Make him the head coach and cut out the Middle Man Sir Lincoln of Riley. Make Riley the ball boy.

How can Riley be the face of the program when he never shows his face ?
And I doubt Riley cares that Bowden is the one showing up to do the publicity stuff.

KAM: Why Do Democrats Love Violence? The coordinated attacks on Teslas, Tesla drivers and Tesla dealers represent one of the most appalling political developments of recent years. These attacks are coordinated, organized and financed: yesterday was proclaimed a ‘global day of action’ by the ‘Tesla Takedown’ movement. CNN found the violence exciting. As do, apparently, 100% of Democratic politicians. I hadn’t seen any Democratic officeholders condemn the violence, so I thought I must have missed it. But no: the Google search ‘Democrats condemn Tesla attacks’ turns up zero instances of any such criticism.

Sincere question: would it have been better to have forfeited the UConn game?

The 6’4″ USC center came through, but the rest of the team was overwhelmed.
