UConn Beats USC In Elite Eight

Not really a surprise as UConn defeated USC, 78-64, behind 31 points by Paige Buckers.

But USC got just 10 points from Kiki Iriafen, who missed 11 straight shots. No way the Trojans had a chance with Iriafen struggling. Rayah Marshall showed up with 23 points and 15 rebounds.

USC trailed 51-46 after three quarters but never got any closer in the fourth quarter.

UConn will now play UCLA in the Final Four.

The story simply contained a list of facts, with no embellishment, editorializing, or invented details. The story also didn’t cite shaky “anonymous sources” and only quoted firsthand witnesses to the event. It was completely factual without any errors whatsoever.

  10. The women BB game has definitely change over the last 5 years. Call it the Caitlin Clark affect if that’s okay with Angel Reece. The effective shooting range has been extended at least 5 feet and it makes for a more exciting game. I think USC would have won with Juju. Connecticut was vulnerable inside and if Marshall could have kicked it out to Juju we could have scored all game long. Hate to see a great season end with the injury of a star player but that is what happened this season.
