Three New Players For Basketball But What Does It Mean?

USC has added three basketball transfers today: Cal State Northrige forward Keonte Jones; Robert Morris forward Amarion Dickerson and Virginia forward Jacob Cofie.

Jones and Dickerson averaged 13 points per game. Cofie averaged seven points.

Sounds like they will nicely complement the existing players. But shouldn’t USC be trying to get a game-changing transfer? Especially after landing five-star guard Alijah Arenas?

And especially after losing your most dynamic player, Wesley Yates, who might be going to Kentucky.

Arenas is probably a one-and-done guy so USC needs to try and get some big-time players for next season. Doesn’t look like it’s happening.

  1. It’s USC basketball not Duke, or Kentucky or UConn, they aren’t going to get five 5 stars until they start winning a LOT of games with deep tournament runs on a yearly basis

      2. Hold on, Gabby. The bus is specified to have lost it’s wheels —Kathy won’t fall off it —-she’ll move in and call it “home.”

      3. Quite true! To be knocked out, you have to possess a functioning brain and a sense of consciousness, in order for there to be any sort of noticeable difference.

  3. KAM: The breaking Boasberg Scandal this morning shows the Democrats are actually gaming the selection of “random” federal judges to take their cases.

It looks like the Democrats file an emergency motion in the wee hours of a weekend night. The preferred judge then signs in first thing the next morning as the only “available” judge.

Voila, the Democrats just got the case in front of the exact partisan judge they wanted.

If so, that makes a mockery of the system of supposedly randomly-assigned judges.

DON: Any lawyers in the house to confirm how the system SHOULD legally operate? Anyone? Anyone?

    1. I can tell you how it works in state courts —-all litigation matters leave Master Calendar Court & head to the trial court that’s next on the Master Calendar List —- in downtown Los Angles there were roughly a dozen trial courts at any given time…..when the Master Calendar Judge got to the bottom of the list, he’d start over. If the next judge on the list was a Brown appointed, anti government loser, the prosecution could exercise their right to opt for the judge who came up NEXT on the list….leaving the Brown appointed, anti government loser judge to preside over civil trials only.

The Government should not have to appear in front of a known loser like Boasberg. He’ll never recuse himself no matter how conflicted he is. The government should be able to take him out with a challenge for cause.

      1. btw, Congress has the Constitutional right to fashion the workload of the lower federal courts — they don’t have to, as many are advocating, completely strip the district courts of their power to grant injunctive relief….all they have to do is give the government the right to recuse the judge initially “randomly appointed” to the case….. goodbye Boasberg….
