USC Notes: Offensive Line Commitment Time

USC has received a commitment from offensive lineman Kannon Smith of Highlands Ranch, Colo. He is a four-star prospect per Rivals and three-star per 247. He was supposed to visit UCLA next week.

He also had trips for Michigan and Penn State lined up for this summer.

  • UCLA women’s basketball player Londynn Jones is transferring to USC. The shooting guard averaged 8.1 points and shot 35 percent on 3-pointers.

  2. Kannon Smith looks like another impressive offensive line pick-up. He moves very well on his tape with good fundamentals. USC is building a tremendous offensive line class. We may end up with 9 or 10 players, mostly four stars. I recall Al Davis saying that the key to building a football team is building an offensive line. Evidently, Bowden agrees.

  4. KAM: Why would the Governor Mimbo Democrats running California pay one penny to racist black Democrats for reparations for slavery?

DON: Democrats are anti-history. Even before the war began, California played an important role in the fight over slavery, as events here helped to set the stage for war.

The financial prowess of the state’s rich gold mines and pro-Union business elite would ensure the success of the Northern war effort by keeping it well-funded. Without this steady supply of gold, the outcome of the war might have been very different. Addditionally, California led the nation in contributions to the United States Sanitary Commission, which was the primary organization responsible for the medical treatment of the many military casualties suffered on the Union side.

Like other Northern states, California supplied thousands of soldiers for the Union war effort; California troops were responsible for pushing the Confederate Army out of Arizona and New Mexico in 1862. Additionally, numerous California regiments were organized and joined with state regiments back east. Californians would face the enemy in most of the major battles in the East, including one regiment, organized and commanded by the former California Senator Edward Dickinson Baker (then a Colonel), that defended against Pickett’s charge at Gettysburg, arguably the most pivotal military action of the war. In all, over 17,000 Californians would join as soldiers; this is the highest per-capita total for any state in the Union.https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=26775 We Free State Californians don’t owe blacks a penny or any special privileges.

DON: McDaniel isn’t the only quarterback from the Bruins’ spring roster that his the transfer portal.   Joey Aguilar transferred into UCLA from  Appalachian State this spring. He was highly productive for the Mountaineers, and was expected to compete for the starting job at UCLA. Aguilar has since transferred to Tennessee, essentially swapping places with Nico Iamaleava, who is transferring in to UCLA from Tennessee.

      1. Due Process is “notice” and “hearing”. The length of the notice and the fullness of the hearing depends on the status of the litigant and the consequentiality of the right being litigated. Illegal Aliens are entitled to the General Notice and Hearing implicit in an Executive Order. Period.
