USC Water Polo Defeats UCLA/Advances To NCAA Championship

USC women’s water polo defeated UCLA, 15-13, at the NCAA Final Four to advance to the championship match tomorrow against No. 1-ranked Stanford.

USC scored seven goals in the third period to take a 13-8 lead and held on for the win. UCLA was ranked No. 2 and USC was No. 3.

Stanford has won at least one NCAA title for 49 straight seasons. The Cardinal’s 137 team NCAA titles (71 men, 66 women) are the most for a school.
