- This picture is from May, 1939, nine years after the “Trojan Statue” made its debut. It was passed along from reader Rick Brown, and shows his father and grandparents, who were there to enroll his uncle at USC.
- A calm George Tirebiter at Tommy Trojan in 1947. Note the “Choke Bruin” sign on Tommy’s pedestal.
- Actor George Arliss won the 1929 Oscar for best actor for “Disraeli” and here he is in 1930 dedicating the Trojan Shrine (Tommy Trojan) statue next to the administration building. That was a coup to get him for the ceremony.

KAM: Multiple sources told CNN that the Trump administration is preparing to cancel a large portion of federal funding for California, which might begin as soon as today.
According to CNN, Team Trump is specifically looking at entirely cutting off federal grant funding for the University of California and California State University systems.
President Trump has been rightfully livid over California’s open defiance of federal law, particularly over transgender issues and obstructing federal immigration law.
President Trump issued an executive order in February, which was supposed to ensure that biological men could not compete in women’s sports.
DON: But California and other blue states have decided to defy my order and continue to allow men to compete against women as we saw last weekend at the CIF SS Track and Field Championships.
