Another Example Of USC-Notre Dame Value

The Athletic has ranked college football rivalries and USC-Notre Dame is No. 5.

USC-UCLA is down at No. 14.

It’s just another reminder of the value of the rivalry to USC. Something Lincoln Riley and Jen Cohen don’t like to acknowledge.

What are they going to do if the Big Ten doesn’t get its four automatic bids to the College Football Playoff?

Could Cohen be that dumb? I don’t think she is but she’s being far too nice to Riley, because he actually doesn’t care about the rivalry or USC traditions or its fans.

USC and Notre Dame should be number one. between the two of them they have more national titles than Michigan and Ohio State more players drafted into the NFL than any other university most players drafted to the NFL pro football Hall of Fame also more Heisman Trophy winners than any other university.

  16. What hurt the SC-Notre Dame rivalry was how at times it became too lopsided, what with ND running up a 12-game streak in the 1980s and 90s, and then Carrot winning 7 in a row, to the present where SC winning at ND doesn’t happen often

    I am starting to wonder if history is going to repeat itself. Helton hung on for 2 years after Folt arrived. By that measure if it takes SC a year to hire a new president, Riley could still be SC’s coach in 2028.

It is considered offensive – “who are you to judge me you arrogant bastard!” The only exception to the rule is when someone is in a special relationship with the other person.     1. Twain was outstanding – one of my favorites along with Will Rogers. It was such a shame the Rogers estate burned down in the Palisades fire.

      I have totally lost track of the various Gabbys and fake Gabbys and cowardly Gabbys and other Gabbys here. My recollection of Gabby is from several years ago, when he would tell Owns and Miguel and Bucket and the other gutty trolls “break time is over. Fryer number 2 needs cleaning.
