Morning Buzz: USC Might Be Forced To Make Decision

The Big Ten will not back off its preferred College Football Playoff format for 2026 that guarantees the conference four automatic spots, unless the SEC decides to add ninth league game, according to On3 sports.

That increases the odds of a 12-team playoff returning in 2026.

And that means Jen Cohen would have to get off the pot regarding the USC-Notre Dame series.

She would have to make a decision on extending the series over the objections of Lincoln Riley if she continues the rivalry.

Is it that hard to stand up to the overpaid coach that she doesn’t really enjoy dealing with?

  4. If we back out of the ND rivalry, USC will look as weak as a person who continually asks people to meet up in Barstow, (knowing no one is driving out there only for her not to show up).

    Perhaps the best USC game called by Riley, with nearly even passing and rushing yardage. But even these highlights show that with USC’s line, the QB needs to be a magician to avoid the pressure:
