USC has launched its new Trojan Athletic Fund, which you can read about here.
It avoids too many specifics and I’ll write more about it later but here’s an early conclusion: If you belong to a booster group and get season tickets, it’s probably going to cost you more money. The end.
- Incoming USC freshman Jazzy Davidson had 21 points, six rebounds, 5 steals, 3 blocks and 3 assists as the USA defeated Australia, 88-76, in the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup.
The athletic fund website states:
“A reimagined and modernized approach to better engaging Trojan fans and supporting a best-in-class experience for over 500 Trojan student-athletes.“
How many times in the last decade has this been “reimagined” and “modernized”?
Sheesh…
BTW, whatever happened to those two social media guys from LSU from a few years ago?

KAM: Senile Joe putting Tulsi on the terrorism watch list in July 2024 probably was not the best idea.
DON: Or Hillary Clinton questioning Tulsi Gabbard’s patriotism in October 2019 during an interview where she suggested that a female candidate was a “favorite of the Russians” and being “groomed” by Republicans for a third-party run, which many interpreted as a reference to Gabbard. Now Hillary will pay for Hillary Clinton orchestrating a scheme to link my campaign to Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

I am waiting for this whole NIL/payola scheme to collapse on itself. At some point, the donors are going to get tired of funding multimillion dollar 20 year old players and 200 million dollar sports facilities. Many programs will fold and stop competing and the sport itself will lose popularity. And in the end the only people who will care about the sport are a bunch of elderly alumni from 20 or so schools and they are dying off. College football will go the way of college basketball and pro basketball with most younger fans having limited or no interest in the sport.

Or they will end the charade and make college basketball and football the minor leagues of the NBA and NFL.

Thanks for the laugh Scott! 😀 …After hours of viewing fanboy media, I love your takes even more. … The experience is kinda like switching back and forth between Fox News and MSNBC. 😁
