This poll is a joke. I think we have better talent than all the teams outside the top ten. Boise State, Iowa State, Texas Tech, c’mon.

It’s not a talent poll. The writers see what Riley has done thus far and have little confidence he’ll do any better going forward. I don’t either.
I wasn’t thrilled when we hired him. All he did was keep a good thing going at Choklahoma. I had wanted someone who turned a poor (or eve mediocre) team around.
I was wrong about Pete. (Only issue I had with him was lack of college experience.) I had hoped Lincoln would prove me wrong, too. But he hasn’t.

I understand why you are down on LR. But I am way more optimistic than you So Cal. Its not just talent but talent on the line of scrimmage and new defensive coaches. The Lynn and Bowden hires are going to pay off.

Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has faced accusations of manipulating crime classifications to improve crime statistics. In July 2025, a D.C. police commander, Michael Pulliam, was suspended and placed under investigation for allegedly altering crime data in his district, specifically in the 3rd District covering Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights. The D.C. police union, through Chairman Gregg Pemberton, claimed that MPD supervisors were directing officers to downgrade serious offenses—such as shootings, stabbings, or carjackings—to lesser categories like “felony assault” or “injured person to the hospital.” These categories are not tracked as part of the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting program or MPD’s daily crime stats, effectively reducing the reported numbers for serious crimes.

KAM: For weeks, Democrats and their media allies have been flogging the Epstein-Trump narrative like it was the silver bullet that could finally dent President Trump’s popularity. But according to CNN’s own numbers guru, Harry Enten, the story has already imploded — and voters couldn’t care less.
On CNN’s News Central Monday, anchor Kate Bolduan noted that “new numbers this morning showing something of a shift in how Americans are feeling about this.”
Enten didn’t hold back.
“Yes, I would say that this is, from at least a political point of view, quickly turning into a dud of a story,” he said.
Bolduan was surprised, calling it “wild” that such a hyped storyline had collapsed so quickly.
Enten pointed to the cold, hard data.
“Google searches for Epstein down 89% versus just three weeks ago. Falling through the floor. It is no longer the top term searched alongside Donald Trump’s name. That’s been trading off between tariffs and Vladimir Putin, with, obviously, the meeting coming up later this week.”
“At this particular point,” Enten added, “the American people’s interest in this story, it’s quickly becoming something of a nothingburger.”
In other words, the breathless coverage, the Capitol Hill grandstanding, and the left’s fever dreams of a political hit job have fizzled into nothing.
Bolduan asked the obvious follow-up: Had it hurt Trump’s numbers at all? Enten’s answer was devastating for Democrats: “No, not really.”
