The media is hyping the USC defensive line, which is not surprising. The line has been pretty unmemorable in recent seasons and USC seems to have depth this season.
Here’s one possible depth chart:
DE/Anthony Lucas/Sr./Braylan Shelby, Jr.
DT/Keyshawn Silver/Sr./Kobe Pepe, Sr./Floyd Boucard/Fr.
DT/Devan Thompkins/Jr./Jamaal Jarrett, Jr.
DE/Kameryn Fountain/So./Jahkeem Stewart, Fr.
- All of these guys should play so where they rank is not vital. But what is important is that they perform.
It’s not enough to show up looking big in your uniform during training camp when you walk from the McKay Center to Howard Jones Field. Or dominating a drill in training camp vs. the bang average offensive line.
It matters when you play Michigan. Or Illinois. Or Oregon.
- USC’s odds for going undefeated during the regular season are 25/1 according to BetOnline. Who would take that?
- USC’s women’s soccer stadium will officially open this week. Funny how they can finish that but not the baseball stadium by next season.
Scooter,
If SC had a competent head coach who would want to play ND and Ol Miss, then I would bet. However, when you got Muleshoes (Thank you budda) who is hesitant to even play Missouri St., then no, I will not bet.
As far as the stadium is concerned, Folt the Dolt wanted the DEI to kick in real well so she got that done first. If she had followed SC history, the baseball stadium should have been done first.

The foundation of a great defense is the interior defensive line. Keyshawn Silver will immediately make us better. The coaches and players are raving about the growth of Devan Thompkins. And Riley has hinted that Bouchard is ready to contribute as a Freshman. Coach Henderson says the guy has great feet and will play in the NFL. If the early reports are true, we should have a very good defense. Kameron Fountain, Braylon Shelby and Anthony Lucas are also solid players on the edge with the potential to be great. But we don’t really know because practices are closed.

KAM: MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Admits Dems ‘Secretly Support’ President Trump’s Federal Police Takeover in DC!
On Tuesday’s episode of “Morning Joe,” MSNBC host Joe Scarborough admitted that ‘so many’ Democrats secretly support President Donald Trump’s federal police takeover in the nation’s capital.
While Democrats are publicly decrying Trump’s move, according to Scarborough, they are expressing very different beliefs in private.
Scarborough said, “This is a fascinating story because so many people have been calling me over the past couple of days, going, ‘you know, like Washington, should have gotten involved years ago. This place is dangerous, it’s a mess, it’s a wreck’ and whatever.”
“And then they’ll go on Twitter and go ‘his is the worst outrage of all time.’”
He continued, “We saw what happened back in 2020 with the National Guard, certainly can’t have any repeat of that. I don’t want the federalization of the entire city, but man, I don’t care what the crime statistics say, crime has been a problem in this city for the 32 years, I’ve been living inside and outside of the city.”
“It’s just, even now, we, Mika and I, we’re talking to somebody who lives in the city, these are all Democrats who said, you know, our friends won’t walk more than three blocks in DC at night without feeling the complete opposite of New York City, Where I’ll walk 40 or 50 blocks at night and not think twice about it. In New York City, in midtown downtown. I mean, New York is a safe, safe place. Washington D.C., man, it’s door to door.”

KAM: Why do you lie when the statistics are there for anyone to see? Black people commit more crimes relative to those of other races: In 2019, Black people made up 12.2% of the U.S. population (U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey). Blacks, however, represent 26.6% of total arrests, including 51.2% of murder arrests, 52.7% of robbery arrests, 28.8% of burglary arrests, 28.6% of motor vehicle theft arrests, 42.2% of prostitution arrests, and 26.1% of drug arrests (FBI’s Uniform Crime Report, Table 43).
Black residents also have the highest level of incarceration rates of any racial group. As of 2019, Blacks were incarcerated in local jails at a rate of 600 per 100,000 U.S. residents, which is more than three times the rate for Whites (184 per 100,000 U.S. residents) (Zeng and Minton 2021). The combined state and federal imprisonment rate for Black sentenced prisoners in 2019 was 1,096 per 100,000 U.S. residents compared to 214 per 100,000 U.S. residents for Whites (Carson 2020).
In Washington, D.C., Black individuals accounted for nearly all (97%) of gun homicides in 2023, despite making up 43% of the district’s population. The firearm homicide rate among Black people increased by 81% from 2019 to 2023, highlighting significant racial disparities in gun violence. The crime “isn’t spread out”.
DON: But libs will claim this is proof of systemic racism!

I lived in Washington D.C. for three years. The numbers referenced by Gabby are consistent with my experience. I remember the first time I parked on the street in the Adams Morgan area a Black teenager told me that for $10 he would watch my car so that nothing would happen to it.
The LA County numbers are similar to D.C. Black males are less than 4% of the population but they commit the majority of the shootings. Most of the shootings are Black on Black. Virtually none is White on Black. When there is an interracial shooting, the Black guy pulls the trigger on the White guy 90% of the time. Wouldn’t know that from watching the news because they are vested in portraying Black people as innocent victims.

“When they were doing the random snatching or kidnappings of people off of our streets, when people gathered, they backed away on many occasions,” Bass said. “And so in Los Angeles, we have a rapid response network where everybody is alerted. If you see masked men getting out of unmarked cars, let everybody in the area know.”
Los Angeles was the center of riots against immigration enforcement earlier in the summer, with thousands of National Guard troops and hundreds of Marines deployed to the area to quell violence. Rioters were seen setting fire to autonomous taxi cars, looting, and attacking law enforcement.
