USC Morning Buzz: Offensive Line Set For Saturday With Questions

Lincoln Riley has revealed his first-team offensive line:

LT: Elijah Paige

LG: Tobias Raymond

C: J’Onre Reed

RG: Alani Noa

RT: Justin Tauanuu

This is the line without DJ Wingfield at guard because he is ineligible.

So Raymond, who was promoted as an offensive tackle the past 12 months, is now a guard. And Tauanuu, who appeared in three games last season but redshirted, is the right tackle.

It’s a line that is a work in progress and unlikely to be properly evaluated the first few games. It also remains a team question mark despite what you may read elsewhere. It feels average.

  1. Riley and Co screwed the pooch on OL recruiting until Bowden came along and he seems to have fixed it in this recruiting cycle. OL won’t be tested until at least Illinois or Michigan

  2. LB is another huge area of concern

    QB maybe OK

    WR has one deep threat

    DL & DB’s are ???

Coach Pneumonia certainly hasn’t earned his salary, that’s for sure.

    1. The con job Riley pulled off in landing the gig was almost as bad as MSM conning half the country into believing Dementia Joe was fit for office.

      1. KAM: Senile Joe was running for re-election unopposed in his own party for a second term until that disastrous debate forced the Democrats to replace him with me.

DON: Democrats like Carol Folt and Bohn- Head were willing to hire Wokester Wiley Coyote and re-elect a clearly incapacitated old criminal and then a woman whose only accomplishment was being Willie Brown’s bimbo.

  3. DON: Wiley is finding out that you build a football team inside out. Start by getting the linemen

KAM: It seemed he had myopia in Oklahoma, thinking that only offense would carry the day, and hence carrying that defensive guy too long

    1. Coach Pneumonia still has no idea how to build a football team, that’s why Bowden was brought in, try and keep up Yoda

      1. KAM: Is that the same guy who you accused of seldom telling the truth about anything and speaking with a forked tongue?

        DON: One and the same

      2. KAM: Cowardly Sparrow Gabby pretended Biden wasn’t senile and then has the nerve to lecture anyone about lying.

        DON: She has learned nothing.

  4. KAM: Ok, I get it, there will be no National Championship for SC this year, but I am still going to watch them every week

DON: Me too. They are the only school I care about

  5. KAM: Besides, we are heavily favored to start out 4-0, and after that it is Illinois, Michigan and Notre Dame, and who knows what might happen?

DON: Is that why they play the games instead of idly predicting the outcomes?

  6. Average?

    That’s a compliment from wolfie.

Based on last year , I would rate them to potentially be a B rather than a C. Nobody knows ’cause nobody sees practices or scrimmages or reports if they do see. Nevertheless these guys played fairly well last year, and should be improved.
