USC Morning Buzz: When Does Rest Of Team Catch Up To Skill Spots?

USC looks good at the skill positions after two games. No surprise there.

But as we now progress through the schedule, will the offensive line, defensive line, linebackers and secondary be able to join the skill positions?

And, honestly, can the skill spots keep their torrid pace?

No one wants to talk about how bad Georgia Southern’s defense was. Every pass caught was a missed tackle away from being a breakaway play.

When you go on the road, you need to play smart on the line (no false starts). You need to stop the run. People made a big deal about the lack of missed tackles the first two games. Who was USC playing?

There are some gaping holes in the pass coverage. Which team can exploit that? Can Purdue?

  • Lincoln Riley said Tuesday among the tweaks made on road trips is to change the type of airplane for chartered flights.

A bigger, more comfortable plane? Revolutionary!

Was Chad “Charmin” Bowden involved in this?

  • Remember when I wrote about Fredericks, a sporting goods company/shop that was located on Pico Blvd. and La Cieniega Blvd.? It used to supply the uniforms for USC, UCLA and the Rams in the 1950’s. The uniforms were hand-made by the company.

Owner Bill Fredericks said he could make junior-sized uniforms for any college team in the country if a parent wanted to outfit their child in full regalia.

Well, apparently they can still make uniforms.

  1. Will 9 Trojans ever score touchdowns in one game as they did against Mo State?– No

Will Purdue be a laydown game for SC?– No

Will Troy’s defense rise to the occasion?– We’ll see

      1. Wow! I had not seen how well she was doing after the stabbing. If only someone would have helped, by applying pressure to the wound, there would have at least been a chance she could have survived. Because of her shock and where the wound was, it would have been virtually impossible for her to do it herself. So sad, how they just walked by. So uncaring and heartless. Yet if someone asked them, they would claim to be caring, compassionate people.

      2. So Cal: Do you think they would have helped if it was an old lady, or maybe a Black girl. Very disturbing to watch. Perhaps fear had something to do with it but it does not explain why they would not comfort her and call 911 once the assailant left.

Anyone remember how the pulp mills stunk in Oregon and how they used to wipe out the kelp beds off Palos Verdes? But once the corrections were made and the polar bears and whales were saved and air pollution in LA was curbed, a segment of the Democrat Party led by Grifter Al Bore made it a permanent for profit industry using scare tactics with the vague goal of stopping the planet from heating up.

DON: You know it’s a grift when 90% of the plastic pollution comes from Asian countries led by Red China and Red China is building 100 coal plants a year and no one in the Democrat Party says a peep.

    1. KAM: For four years, Joe Biden bragged about presiding over the “strongest economy in history.” He propped up his narrative with the return of jobs after the COVID shutdowns and falsely claimed his policies created them. Even liberal outlets admitted he was padding the numbers, but Biden never stopped repeating the lie.

Now the lie has officially collapsed. The Bureau of Labor Statistics just confirmed what President Trump has been saying all along: Biden’s “strong economy” was nothing but smoke and mirrors. On Monday, the BLS issued their largest downward revision in history, wiping out nearly a million jobs — 911,000 to be exact. That’s not a minor correction; that’s proof Biden’s economic record wasn’t just exaggerated, but was a fraud from the start.

DON: They just phonied up numbers to get Senile Joe and you re-elected.

In an excerpt obtained by The Atlantic,  from my upcoming memoir, ‘107 Days,’ I call Senile Joe Biden’s decision to run for a second term ‘reckless’ and say it should not have been “left to an individual’s ego” or “ambition.”

Writing about my decision not to try to convince Senile Joe Biden to drop out, I write, “’It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.’ We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized. Was it grace, or was it recklessness?”

“In retrospect, I think it was recklessness. The stakes were simply too high.”

“This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision.”

DON: Despite her profession of loyalty, and ignoring a litany of word salad speeches and constant missteps, KAM did not hold back on an opportunity to whine and blame the Biden White House for not being more loyal to her.
