USC-Notre Dame Live Blog

Two plays. 166 yards. Two TD’s.

Still cannot defend over the middle. See the TD.

USC has let Notre Dame rush for 226 yards and it’s only the first possession of the secon half.

Again. Where is the run defense?

Where is the run defense?

USC marched down field quickly for opening TD.

No more wind or rain. Just a mass of humanity entering the stadium.

It’s warm and humid with rain on the way.

Here’s the closest USC tailgate to Notre Dame Stadium, right outside the Frank Leahy gate.

USC and Notre Dame fans mixing at the Grotto.

We’ve got bag pipes amidst the tailgaters at Notre Dame.

  2. This post contains references to suicide — if you are having suicidal thoughts don’t read it …and consult professional help:

A certain USC coach is going to be thinking of taking his own life tonight if he doesn’t go on the attack when he gets close to the end zone…..

    1. Talk about taking lives… OJ was successful 2X, while Butt-Fumble Sanchez almost got his life taken. Come on, Trojans, do better!

A competent coach would adjust accordingly, USC doesn’t have a competent head coach, they have a

    1. I hate to agree with you …. but, yeah…. Lincoln looks overwhelmed on the sidelines…. the pressure is getting to him…. and it’s spreading to the offense…. hope he snaps out of it..

But….why focus on Riley? Lynn’s guys haven’t shown they can tackle yet……

Well, we have a half of football to go. An efficient effort will win this game…. that’s all they need: settle down and play efficient football….

  4. btw, we’re in trouble the rest of the way unless we get our running game back…… McCree as fullback? Husan Longstreet [without the high snap & some minimal fricking blocking in front of him]?

    1. Notre Dame is not special — and Lincoln has ZERO energy on the sidelines —looks kike he’s pouting about not having his running backs —he needs to come alive for his team’s sake…

      1. Can’t wait for Lincoln’s pathetic presser….. [he wasted so many first downs running Miller —- he never caught on to the fact it wasn’t gonna work & he’d need to forget the run game,,,]

    1. Tarmac? That would mean we fly them back.

To hell with that. Drop them off in inner-city Chicago and let them find their way to the “L”, Warriors style.

  6. o-line, Jayden …and especially Lincoln and Lynn outdo themselves….

Loved it when Jayden said he “waited all year for this!” I had no idea what he meant….. but let’s just say Heisman talk is gonna die down a little….

  7. The worst part? Notre Dame just handed EVERY team on our remaining schedule the recipe for beating us —- double Lemon….and… put pressure on Jayden…he falls apart…..

  8. Players win game and coaches lose game. After tonight’s debacle, it is abundantly clear that CLR is not long for the big stage anymore. The play calling in the fourth quarter was laughable, even Todd Blackledge called this out on the broadcast. USC is soft on both sides of the LOS, and there doesn’t seem any hope in sight. This is the residue of not committing to a physical style of football on the offensive and defensive lines. The final score of 34-24 is not indicative of the physical ass whopping that N.D. put on U.S.C. If N.D.’s offensive coordinator would’ve just ran the the ball at the goal line in the 3rd quarter, instead of getting cute, along with the N.D. kicker not left four points on the field, this game would’ve been a massive embarrassment…again! Add to the fact that CLR doesn’t want to play ND anymore should tell you everything the man stands for. Which is nothing worthwhile of being a Trojan.

    1. Thankfully the ND kicker spotted SC 7 – XP, chip shot then

      didn’t even get a try. 17 instead of 10.

Add in ND QB was way off so they were one dimensional.

Yet Riley’s MWC/MAC D could not stop the Irish. Smh.

      Fire Riley, keep the series.

  9. We need to announce Riley is gone after December ASAP…..and reach out to the hottest available coach out there [Meyer, Gruden, Saban?] ….. to assure the 2026 class there is a reason for sticking with USC…..
