Check Out These Bad Takes On USC

I asked how gullible are the nation’s pundits?

Here’s some examples:

To be fair, Joel Klatt picked Notre Dame to win the game. But this was just Lincoln Riley’s second trip to South Bend so what the hell was he talking about saying this was the best version he has “ever” had going into South Bend.

  1. I do not trust pundits. I trust the student body and the donors. These folks were booing LR when he took the field at the Coliseum against Michigan, and they will boo him again when he returns from Nebraska, win or lose, in 3 weeks. They have seen enough football to know the truth. LR is out of his depth. He will never get to the CFP. And USC, under his so called leadership, will always underperform. We have a team that under a coach like Carroll or even Robinson would go 11-1, 10-2, or 9-3 at worst. We had the team to win at ND yesterday, but we have the wrong coach to do it.

    1. Not so fast.

As l haved reported (numerous times from section 120 through the years), on what I have witnessed at Coli.

Last Saturday vs MI, there was no booing of CLR.

      You are a fraud!

    2. Everyone in the stadium knew that ND was going to hand it to Love and Price over and over. This was even more apparent when the Frosh QB was way off on timing and accuracy.

SC knew it – we all knew it – yet they got manhandled and run over. Trickeration will not often beat brutality.

SC could not run it or stop the run. ND’s poor kicking was the only thing that kept the game close.

McKay, Robinson and Carroll recruited dudes in the trenches. Big 12 Riley has not.

  2. With this coach- you will never have either a great O line or D line. We only had a decent recruiting this year because of the GM. LR is incapable of recruiting superior line players. We are screwed for as long as this doofus is our HC

    1. in fact- I do t even think LR cares about either- he’s too focused on his xo’s – which are ok, if your job is an offensive coordinator- problem is- he’s the HC and he’s terrible it. They are going to lose at least 3 more games because of this doofus

  3. hey wolfman, remember when Southern Cal had 10 All-American running backs on the team and they still ran it 15 times a game while the Pious Passer targeted Woods about 35 times a game???

perfect game plan by ND’s Freeman. he said we’re gonna stop the run and make em beat us in the air. held SC to 68 yds rushing as they ran wild on trOXans.

  4. Scooter,

I had to go to a wedding game on game day. At the reception there was no tv. What is worse, is that she works at SC as an assitant director for admissions for the cimeatic dept. I will watch the game next weekend.

  5. Scooter,

Lincoln Riley is nothing but a mid level coach that should be and should be at Missouri St. He has no clue on what SC means, how to coach, or build a physical team. He needs to go. He is lost. Tomorrow night he will say that they are improving and moving forward.

Budda, you are correct. I call him Lincoln Deer in the Highlights Riley

  6. LMAO! As I said before, anyone who refers to the Coliseum as the “Coli” is a pansy and shouldn’t be taken seriously. That’s YOU, Yogi Roth!

  7. They need to rename this blog to P I S S on USC. We lost the LOS. ND’s left guard was dominating our tackles. Horrible gap control on defense. Looked like we were out of position on multiple plays ala Alex Grinch. Bad play calling by Riley. ND anticipated several calls on key plays. But we have a lot of young talent on both sides of the line that will get better and a great recruiting class. Jahkeem Stewart and Floyd Brouchard are the real deal. Both will play on Sundays. Kam Crawford ain’t bad either. I was p i s s e d watching the game but the future is still promising. You guys sound like your giving up on the program. Riley isn’t going anywhere. Can’t pay the buyout and NIL money. Live with it. If we can win the LOS we can win with Riley. And we are in position to do that in a couple of years.

    1. Plow –we came back against Michigan the last time we were embarrassed —- let’s wait and see if we can come back against Nebraska on the road [with third string backs and a QB who doesn’t like to run]……

DON: What makes you think they won’t leave for greener pastures like the 22 Trojans who left last December?

YOU HAD PREDICTED (OR WISHED) FOR AN SC WIN OVER ND, BUT THE QUALITY OF OUR LINE PLAY SHOWS WE AREN’T YET READY FOR THE BIG-TIME

STILL, I THINK THE TEAM IS PRETTY GOOD, JUST NOT ‘TOP-10’ GOOD

DON: ND fans that were there will always remember this particular game due to the 100-yard return

KAM: Yes, our team seems to make legacies in their losings

  11. KAM: Why did that game-changing ND 100-yard return even happen? The SC kicker had been placing them deep in the end zone all night long

DON: –But then we would have been deprived of that ‘100-yarder’ that will go down in history, at least in Irish history
