USC Sunday Buzz: Man, The Schedule Could Have Been Much Worse

It’s pretty amazing Lincoln Riley has had anything to say about USC’s schedule.

No Ohio State. No Indiana. No Penn State (who was supposed to be good).

He lost to Illinois, who got blown out by Indiana and Washington. At least Notre Dame provides a test with no conference implications.

What’s he going to do in future years when USC has to play the good teams in the Big Ten?

  • USC is ranked No. 23 in today’s AP Top 25 poll.
  • So UCLA loses and Jerry Neuheisel is no longer the head coach?
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
  • Will Deion Sanders be at Colorado next season?

  1. He had all the talent at Jackson St. but couldn’t win the championship. No other team at that level could match the talent.

He’s been average at best at Colorado, and has some of the best recruiting classes in the transfer portal. He did bring Colorado back to some relevance but I think his time is up. He needs to take care of himself. Blood clots are a very serious issue.

    1. Kelly, who signed a 10-year, $100 million contract when he was hired ahead of the 2022 season, has an official buyout of over $50 million that could eclipse the number Penn State will pay James Franklin after firing him earlier this season if it isn’t negotiated down.

Only former Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher has received a bigger buyout than Franklin to date. LSU athletic director Scott Woodward hired Fisher when he was the athletic director at Texas A&M.

Kamala sat down with the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg to promote her ghost writer’s new book, and what followed was a just a complete mess. Kuenssberg zeroed in on the question everyone’s been asking and that Kamala, at this point, should have come up with a decent answer for: Did Kamala know about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, and why didn’t she do anything about it?https://x.com/frank144/status/1982809197688316256lol

DON: Here’s the reality that Kamala and her deluded Democrat apologists like Cowardly Gabby, Cowardly Sparrow Gabby, trojsteve9 and Tranny Bruin can’t admit: She knew Biden was declining. She had to know. Everyone in that White House had to know. But raising concerns would have threatened her own ambitions and the Democratic Party’s grip on power. So she stayed silent, participated in what many now call a cover-up, and watched as Biden stumbled through debates and public appearances until the charade became unsustainable.

Kuenssberg’s interview exposed the fundamental dishonesty at the heart of Kamala’s damage control tour. No amount of verbal gymnastics can change the fact that she chose political expediency over honesty with the American people.

    1. KAM: Rebels turn right: Questioning leftist ideas is ‘dangerous, alluring’….“The real political energy” on campuses is “on the right,” writes Julia Steinberg, a recent Stanford graduate, in The Atlantic. She started college as a progressive, but was frustrated by classrooms where “everyone was afraid of offending everyone else.” It wasn’t socially acceptable to disagree about ideas.

She ended up with other ex-liberals on the Stanford Review, where the staff “included MAGA diehards, traditional Catholics, anti-Trump neoconservatives, isolationists, anti-identity-politics liberals, Luddites, and (in my case) techno-capitalists, all challenging one another’s ideas.”

When Steinberg talked to students who wanted to write for the Review, they talked about Covid lockdowns, cancel culture and the “stifling” progressivism of their high schools. “Questioning ideas seemed dangerous — and alluring,” she writes. “Preachy, judgmental authority has never sat well with young people. The young people of today see that authority in the establishment left, not the right.”
