Saturday Buzz: Is This The Tonic For USC Rebound?

Nebraska has struggled this season stopping teams who could run between the tackles (see Minnesota game).

USC has successfully run between the tackles this season.

That suggests the Trojans will be able to punish Nebraska.

Now a couple caveats. Is Lincoln Riley disciplined enough to consistently run the ball?

And how will USC react in a hostile Big Ten environment? Conference road games have been a huge problem since last season. Riley can lay an egg under any circumstances.

One thing about Nebraska: The Cornhuskers apparently no longer feature big, strong linemen, which used to be a feature in their glory days. Sounds like USC.

So who wins today?

The line made a huge move going USC being favored by 6.5 points to 4.5 points this week.

  1. (the betting line continued) It was published that SC was garnering 70% of the early betting, but since the line dropped 2-points that ‘70%’ must have been fabricated in the Fake News Department

  2. KAM: If Wiley knew what was in store for him in Los Angeles, would he have ever left Oklahoma where he was a hero?

DON: He still has the offensive touch and is working on his defensive touch.

KAM: He now has a reputation of being a coach who loses games for his team with poor 4th quarter management. I say the sample size is too small to make that judgment

DON: What if he loses in the 4th quarter tonight with Nebraska?

KAM: Then the ‘sample size will be large enough

      1. At this very moment Obama is saying “Have a problem with your wife? Blame it on DEI!”

Amend that remark to “Have a problem with air traffic control? Have a problem with dem government responsiveness after a disaster? Have a problem with defund the police? Have a problem with free education, medical assistance and schooling for illegals? Have a problem with death on subways?”

      1. The more I read about Nebraska the less impressed I am. Evidently, Minnesota’s defensive front was pressuring and sacking Raiola all game. And the Nebraska defense stinks. We should beat them handily.
