With the Crosstown Rivalry tomorrow, let’s hail the king, George Tirebiter.

Here is George when he bit Oski in 1947.

Here is George upset at Bill the Goat of Navy in 1949. It’s not actually Bill the Goat but a substitute that was brought in from a Naval station in Southern California.

And here is George at a USC-UCLA rally in 1947.

        This is a year in which I suspect that the gap between OSU, and maybe Indiana – maybe – and everyone else is very big.

        DON: They have been bad for 10 years now. No one will ever know why Mora didn’t recruit another Bret Hundley style QB instead of the immobile frail drop back QB Rosen. Instead he tried to fit a square peg in a round hole and it was program disaster.

      4. KAM: That is the mystery- Mora used Neuheisel recruit Huntley but then didn’t left a finger to recruit anyone remotely like Nico.

        DON: How could Mora sit on his rear for 3 years and then bring in a sloth-like like stick to run his offense? I remember hearing all this hype about Rosen and then watched the St. John Bosco CIF playoff game and you could tell he wasn’t going to work for UCLA. He needed to go to Stanford and run their Pro-style offense, throw to their huge TEs and hand off to Christian McCaffrey.

        DON: And he would have fit right in with all the other libs at Stanford. He obviously didn’t want to sit on the bench behind Kevin Hogan and redshirt then have to compete with K. .J. Costello the next year. He was lazy and egotistical and wanted it handed to him on a silver platter. For some unknown reason Mora was eager to oblige. Now Mora returns to the Pac 12 to coach at Colorado State!
