Here’s a new USC tradition that seems to happen every year now at the last home game of the year.
Once again, former players feel like they have been treated like cattle at the Coliseum.
“You could not make former players feel more unwelcome and devalued,” a former player told me.
Former players were told they could participate in the Senior Salute but instead of congratulating the seniors on the field when they ran out, the ex-players were shoehorned behind ropes in the tunnel and kept completely away from the seniors.
This meant the seniors greeted Lincoln Riley and Jen Cohen and then ran alone out on the field with zero contact/interaction with the former players, some of whom waited an hour to greet the players.
This doesn’t feel like a Trojan Family moment.
“Just total chaos with barricades, ropes, guards, etc. to keep everyone separated and in their proper place,” another ex-player said.
- The website Awful Announcing has done a reader survey of College Football announcers and USC ranks 64th out of 68.
One reader commented: “Arbo is the worst and has been for years. For a blue blood like SC to settle for him as their radio PXP is a joke.”

Do you notice that he can never name names. If the problem is legitimate, you might repair the relationship by naming names.

Well, we’ve had people here suggest that a certain player’s jersey be removed from the Coliseum for something he wasn’t even found guilty of! I’m sure some Trojans would agree with them.
So, this “Trojan Family” thing appears to be nothing but a myth anyway.

That no good sun of a bit%h that is raggin on Pete Arbogast needs to has his ass lit up with fireworks. them are fightin’ words. Arbogast makes that special to listen to. I listen to him and turn down the sound on the tv. He knows more about SC than anybody and he is equal to the Great Scott Wolf who knows a whoooooooooooole lot. Aweful Announcing can shove it up their wazhoooooo..
