USC Tuesday Buzz: One Of The Most Dominant 10-Game Runs In College Football

Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua held a press conference and this quote is getting the most attention:

“We were shocked, mystified what happened Sunday. We had one of the most dominate 10-game runs in the history of college football.”

Here are the games, which include three teams who went 2-10.

  • Purdue (2-10)
  • at Arkansas (2-10)
  • Boise State G5
  • NC State (7-5)
  • USC (9-3)
  • at Boston College (2-10)
  • Navy G5
  • at Pitt (8-4)
  • Syracuse (3-9)
  • at Stanford (4-8)

    1. OK, so they were on their schedule, but not in what they are trying to claim was “one of the most dominant 10 game schedules”, AS REFERRED TO ABOVE!

I read what was written, Dumbass!!

      1. The Village Idiot proving her name again. Talk about reading comprehension issues.

DOMINANT 10 game run. ANYONE is going to have a dominant 10 game rung against the teams that are listed!!

It’s as if you enjoy looking like a dumbass. Congratulations! You succeeded!!

Now go ahead, with another childish copy & paste where you tweak a few words. Can’t come up with an original thought.

    1. KAM: You mean the Stanford that used to beat USC a decade ago?

DON: The last time Stanford football beat USC was on September 10, 2016, when they won 27-10.

  1. The domers were jobbed. I could see how USC could have beaten Oregon, but I don’t see how they could have beaten ND.

The three main computer polls rank ND 3, 3, and 6. They should be there.

      1. I hope we get screwed the exact same way (SOS), if LR is successful in getting ND off our schedule. He should be paying attention to this, but I doubt it.

        Wuss!

  2. ND chooses to be an independent. The committee chose teams from conferences. I believe that is the correct way as described per there format. ND beat a good SC team, I think they are ranked too high, maybe #15 is suitable

  3. I’m starting to lose track of who’s who on this blog. It used to be so nice! I like talking politics but not here. It somehow does seem to have anything to do with USC and college football. Maybe we could course correct just a bit!

Back to the subject. Why again did they say we shouldn’t consider how badly Alabama lost in the SEC Championship?

I think if they are doing what they are trying to do with playoffs, they should just eliminate the championships for conferences. Those game just confuse things and now have no meaning like bowl games.

I also would like to propose going back to the way it was in the 70’s when every game mattered including bowl games. I know it wasn’t settled on the field but by the end of the season voters had perspective and usually got the ranking right!

    Nostalgia is sweet!
