Has the College Football Playoff made everyone lose their senses?
The Notre Dame bookstore canceled a scheduled appearance Friday by writer Ivan Maisel, who has a new book out on legendary Irish coach Frank Leahy.
Why? Maisel is a member of the College Football Playoff committee.
Once word got out that Maisel’s appearance was canceled, the bookstore reversed course and now he will speak Friday.
Maisel said afterward he spoke with athletic director Pete Bevacqua and Dave Werda, the university executive director in charge of the bookstore, and both apologized but were unaware of the situation. Apparently, the bookstore did it out of an “overabundance of caution.”
It should be noted that Maisel recused himself when Notre Dame was discussed by the College Football Playoff committee because Marcus Freeman wrote a blurb for his Leahy book.
College sports are serious business now

More ND delusions.
Vengeance against the SEC, ESPN, and corrupt CFP committee can be attained through the creation of a super league. The embryo of this league can be a scheduling and revenue sharing agreement between major independent programs. Michigan, Ohio State, and Texas can make more money as independents; the conference revenue share is diluting them. TND and these 3 power schools would agree to pool all media rights for maximum bargaining power and share CFP/bowl revenue because we are likely to knock at least one school out of the playoffs. We also coordinate our schedules to fill out the October/November holes that are hard to schedule. Ohio State and Michigan can put their other sports in the Big East if the B1G won’t let them stay. Maybe we also include Florida or another couple strategic SEC selections. Having the top teams poached must be the SEC’s worst nightmare.

Scooter,
Next year if thre irish finish in the top 12, they get an automatic bid. I am hoping that all the voters vote for them to be 13 in the standings. Even if they are 12-0. That would kill them. Whining Irish, Whining Irish.
