USC announced defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn would not speak at his scheduled media appearance this week.
Could it be that Lynn does not want to answer questions about the defensive coordinator’s position at Penn State?
If only it could be true. Lynn’s defense gave up more than 1,300 yards in USC’s three losses but that doesn’t mean he won’t land another plum job.
Remember the national media was throwing his name out for the UCLA job right when DeShaun Foster got fired. C’mon Penn State!
That football powerhouse Louisiana is down to Delaware 20-3 in the 3rd quarter!
No wonder wussy Lincoln Riley was so pleased to add them to our 2026 schedule.

KAM: Kind of hard to get in the Christmas spirit when there is so much bad news going around. Did you believe in Santa Claus as a kid?
DON: I did for a while. But then some kids started telling me how my dad was Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Devil all rolled into one

Penn State is Lynn’s Alma Mater. Probably just a rumor that the new coach contacted him. Lynn turned down Penn State last year and extended his USC contract. He is not going to Penn State. A question arises as to why the former Iowa State coach wouldn’t bring in his own defensive coordinator. Is the athletic director telling him who to hire? Generally, that is not a good sign. Shows a lack of confidence in the head coach.

Scooter,
If Lynn goes, maybe he will refer Riley to being the oc cordinator.
