Makai Lemon announced he will enter the NFL Draft. Fully expected, of course, after his Biletnikoff Award-winning season.
Four of USC’s top five leaders in receptions this season are either turning pro or entering the transfer portal (Lemon, Ja’Kobi Lane, Lake McRee, Walker Lyons).
- Meanwhile, USC announced Rodney Rice will require shoulder surgery and miss the remainder of the season. He was averaging 20.8 points per game and paid $3 million this season.
USC Basketball program has a cloud over its head. Nothing goes right. Top recruit Arenas is out and now Rodney Rice. USC is now paying tuition, board, meals and millions of dollars in NIL for players who do not contribute to the team. This really hurts the program. They need to change the rules. No play, no pay. If they don’t, we will end up like Minnesota – Somalians are 1% of the population but receive 25% of social services budget, 75% are on welfare, an estimated 8 billion in government fraud claims with a population of only 100,000 people, and very few who actually work and contribute to the tax base. “Death to America” indeed.

Plow,
I hate this NIL crap. No player deserves $3 mil to play. As far as I am concerned, you give them a free education, room and board, and $2500 for walking money. Every player gets the same amount no matter if they are an All American or a bench warmer in any sport. You will see who the true athelete who wants to go to school to pursue his dream.
