The Sound Of Silence From Texas

Before USC played TCU in the Alamo Bowl, it announced the game would be broadcast on KNX-1070 AM instead of its regular station (710).

But during the game, multiple USC fans contacted me to tell me the game was not on 1070.

“I was driving and the game wasn’t on any of the stations I tried,” a fan said. “I got in my car at the start of the second quarter and 1070 was news. I got back in the car the last five minutes and it was still news.”

How is this possible? Who goofed, I’ve got to know?

It calls into question some basic functions of the athletic dept. Like saying it did not know that Notre Dame will make the College Football Playoff next year if it finished in the top 12, even though the Big Ten signed the deal in 2024 and it was reported in the news.

  2. USC continues to look and act like dysfunctional Buffoons.

    Does anyone take responsibility for their third tier actions?

    As a former football captain 1969, I am disappointed in the Football program.

    From the inept Head Coach, who doesn’t believe in any defense, to his junior college staff, to the entitled team players, USC has hit rock bottom with zero hope for the future.

    Getting hammered by a second, maybe third tier Texas college team should be a wakeup call for immediate and serious review of the direction of the Football program.

    USC has always put the best on the field. From the Head Coach, his Staff and Players.

    I’m convinced that is happening now.

    It’s time for some serious changes to happen before we end up playing some Junior College team or CalTech!!

      1. Well, losing by 32 to Michigan…definitely bye-bye top 25. Hopefully Arenas will join soon. With the leading scorer out for the year, the team is going to struggle.

  4. Today USC has scheduled visits for some top cornerback prospects….but…. we can’t tell them much about the system they’ll be playing in ….cuz….we don’t have a Defensive Coordinator….

  5. An interesting aspect of Indiana is that the average age of their starters is probably around 22…they may have a guy who is 26…

    Another interesting aspect is that they had very few guys entering the portal. Seems like they really want to play for Cignetti..

    On the other hand, we had what, something like 15-20 in the portal last year? Including 5 stars Duce Robinson, Zach Branch, plus Pregnon and Bear.
