USC Morning Buzz: Another Example Of Coaching Malpractice

Kyle Whittingham told Urban Meyer that Michigan did not have a dedicated quarterback coach to work with Bryce Underwood last season.

Talk about coaching malpractice. It’s almost amazing the Wolverines won nine games last season with the coaching shenanigans that went on within the program.

Also, let’s remember that USC’s signature win last season was beating Michigan. Kind of more understandable today. Congratulations, Lincoln.

  • If LeBron James showed up at the Galen Center a couple years ago and started working Bronny out, people would have gone nuts. It would be fun to hear Eric Musselman’s thoughts on this. Off the record, of course.

  1. I think Michigan crushed Washington….and I’m pretty sure we couldn’t have beaten Washington…..

[I’ve been reading more and more about the tens of millions, perhaps hundreds of millions, of debt Carol Folt racked up. Her pension should be cancelled and past salary clawed back].

    1. Or maybe we could have beaten Udub if we had Waymo and Eli…

Interesting how all of us keyboard warriors could tell that Carol was going to devastate USC, but the BOT couldn’t…

      1. You make a good point, 67. I [and lots of other fans, evidently] keep forgetting that we lost our starters at running back. That loss changed the emphasis of our offense…. it bit us badly against Notre Dame…and it sure didn’t help against TCU in that overtime, first and goal.

      2. P. S.

There is no way on earth our screwed up, ‘unable -to- even- put together- a- forum’ board can escape allegations of criminal negligence…..

  2. Michigan didn’t lose that game because of their QB, they won because USC controlled the LOS. If only they could have done that in some other games…

  3. Gilbert Arenas at USC?! How did this happen?!! Some people want to remove OJ’s jersey over the Las Vegas incident and he wasn’t even the one with the gun!

Most athletes get a slap on the wrist. That 50 game suspension was one of the few times they got it right. Of course, he cried that it was excessive.

  4. Just so folks know — Our Board is made up of members of the Aspen Institute and the Global Agenda Council for the World Economic Forum. These are globalists in extremis.

USC doesn’t have any better chance surviving financial disaster than Minnesota.

  5. It must be horrible to be Scott who only looks for anything remotely negative to make his point that USC is a horrible school because they never think the way that he does. Oh, I forgot, Scott has never coached a real football team and only talks about his days as a Daily Trojan reporter when they played touch football against the Daily Bruins. With his outstanding resume, I can see why he is so critical of coaches and administrators who actually did things with their life.

Has he critiqued Dan Lanning or Kalen DeBoer for being humiliated by Curt Cignetti? Has he commented on the outstanding play of our recruits in the Alamo game? Has he discussed the great games that USC will be playing next year in the Big Ten? In the meantime, ND will be trying to find one or two teams that will catch the eye of the playoff committee to go along with the 8-10 eight loss teams that make up their pathetic schedule each year. All they want to do is get to ten wins in order to be automatically in the playoffs. The Big Ten conference is the toughest conference in the country and ND is afraid to compete in it.

I appreciate Michael’s comments. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

    1. SC last won at ND 15 years ago? Time flies.

2 of ND’s last 13 games were against CFP finalists. Cignetti was beaten badly, down 4 scores until ND started pulling kids out of the stands to play the last 3 minutes. Miami won at home in the last minute.

      For homework, please:

      1. provide a complete list of USC’s College Football Playoff games.

      2. explain how Lincoln Riley gave up 162 points – 54 per game – when the Okies got into the CFP as B12 champs.

      3. Why did ND replace USC with top 12 opponents in the next 2 years, scheduling home and home with BYU and Miami?

      4. Why did ND schedule home/home series with Texas and Alabama starting in 2 years and add an annual game against Clemson too?

      5. Which head coach, Marcus Freeman or Lincoln Riley, wanted to continue the ND-USC rivalry and which one did not?

      Fight On or Chicken Out?
