Husan Longstreet has signed with LSU, according to CBS Sports.
He will be expected to play behind Sam Leavitt, unless Leavitt cannot recover in time from a foot injury. But LSU also has Elon transfer Landen Clark, so Longstreet might be No. 3.
It’s a big win for Lane Kiffin. Personally, I would have gone to a smaller school for a year and played.
- Matt Leinart sat courtside next to Jen Cohen at last night’s basketball game at the Galen Center. It’s a good example of why Leinart was never going to be critical of USC’s administration regarding the Notre Dame game.
- Here is another USC-themed Sports Illustrated cover photo taken by Trojan graduate Peter Read Miller.

You find out very quickly where his “bread is buttered”. It’s all about the money.

His NIL at USC is estimated at $900K. Maiava is close to $2 million.

67 — Longstreet is being short range smart…but long range unsmart. He probably would have upped that $900,000 more at USC in 2027 than LSU……

Yep. And like all the rest of the Leftist Loonies she’ll never pay a price for the damage she did.

Well, Matt is entering his prime earning years, and he doesn’t want to kill the golden goose…I understand that, but at the same time, it tarnishes what he means to USC fans.

He was in his prime earning years in his twenties. And if he put 20% of it in the stock market he should be set for life.

Leinart has plenty of dough; it is probably more of a matter of having access to SC’s sports insiders

..He has plenty of access too, John…

Well done! Mercenary football! It’s come to the point where the quality of a recruiting class is irrelevant. You don’t care until the guy is actually playing for you. And even then, he might be gone after playing a few games.

The present arrangement isn’t sustainable. Good people like Saban get out. Kiffin will ride it right to the bottom.

From what I read, Longstreet was supposed to play in the Alamo Bowl and that wasn’t the case. Obviously he doesn’t mind being second or he wouldn’t have signed at LSU.
I’d venture to say that there was some shady crap going on behind the scenes…
Oh well

A 19 year old backup makes $900,000 and is upset because the starter makes 2 million. A new football facility is 225 million. Tuition, room, and board is about $100,000. Meanwhile, the median income for LA county is about $60,000, the median cost of a house is $900,000 and half the households can’t afford to pay their municipal services bill. Anybody find this to be problematic. Whatever happened to the middle class.

No.
It’s worse than problematic, Plow.
Way worse.

Where are our priorities. Reminds me of ancient Rome. The city was on fire, economy was collapsing but you could still see some gladiator fights at the Coli.
