Last week I said to keep an eye on Baylor cornerbacks coach Paul Gonzales and CBS Sports reports today Gary Patterson is targeting his former assistant to coach the defensive backs at USC.
This explains the removal of Doug Belk and gives Patterson at least one assistant coach he is comfortable with on staff.

I’m glad that Coach Patterson is getting a DB coach that he trusts and who has a good resume. Coach Henderson can coach up the young DLs like he did Stewart with a broken bone in his foot this year. The new special teams coach can help with LBs, so all three levels are covered. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962
