USC Notes: A Real Crowd At Coliseum

USC baseball’s starting pitchers over the weekend: 17 innings, 5 hits allowed, 1 earned run, 28 strikeouts.

  • The Rams hired Robert Woods as their assistant wide receivers coach.
  • More than 75,000 were at the Coliseum on Saturday night for the LAFC vs. Lionel Messi game. And it looked like a legit 75,000, not the USC-announced 75,000 for football games.
  • Yesterday was James Hong’s 97th birthday. He studied civil engineering at USC and worked for L.A. County as a road engineer for seven years before becoming a full-time actor.

  1. Scooter,

I was at the baseball game on Sunday. Great time. Admissiion is free all season long. Come see SC play good ball. Ptiching has improved. Team has improved. They are 7-0. They play Irvine on Tuesday. Taco night. Play a 4 game series at Cal Poly SLO starting Thursday night. Players appreciate the fan support.
