USC Notes: A Real Crowd At Coliseum

USC baseball’s starting pitchers over the weekend: 17 innings, 5 hits allowed, 1 earned run, 28 strikeouts.

  • The Rams hired Robert Woods as their assistant wide receivers coach.
  • More than 75,000 were at the Coliseum on Saturday night for the LAFC vs. Lionel Messi game. And it looked like a legit 75,000, not the USC-announced 75,000 for football games.
  • Yesterday was James Hong’s 97th birthday. He studied civil engineering at USC and worked for L.A. County as a road engineer for seven years before becoming a full-time actor.

      1. KAM: The Fake News and D e m o c r a t s unhinged reaction to mens hockey winning gold has been better than I’d ever dreamed.

DON: Complete lunacy. Cowardly Gabby is devastated!

  1. Scooter,

I was at the baseball game on Sunday. Great time. Admissiion is free all season long. Come see SC play good ball. Ptiching has improved. Team has improved. They are 7-0. They play Irvine on Tuesday. Taco night. Play a 4 game series at Cal Poly SLO starting Thursday night. Players appreciate the fan support.

  2. A buddy and I decided to follow the Huskies to LA and watch them play the Trojans. The game ended with a Dawg victory and as we were leaving the Coliseum we requested directions from a LA cop to the nearest source of food. He looked at us like we were from a different planet and said wherever you go do not cross that parking lot. We asked why and he simply said “Because I don’t want to do the paperwork”. I haven’t been back since.

      1. I think it’s best for anyone wearing the color purple to hide in the Museum of Science and Industry until closing time after a Washington victory at the coliseum….

      2. KAM: He isn’t talking about our fan base.

DON: He’s talking about the illegal aliens, bums and criminals that that have taken over most of the streets of LA, not just around the Coliseum. And Seattle is just as bad!

      3. He may not be, but MG brought up the other team’s colors.

As for your claim, that goes back to what I stated. We’ve eaten near the campus many times over the decades and never had a problem.

Can it happen? Sure. But nowhere is immune. Even cities such as Santa Clarita and Irvine experience it, on occasion.

      4. KAM: Democrats have ruined cities they control, with even Santa Barbara’s State Street and Santa Monica’s 3rd Street Promenade turning into 3rd World s-holes.

DON: Seattle has been destroyed by Democrat ruleand now is ruled by a socialist who lives with her parents!

  3. KAM: USC Star Wide Receiver Ja’Kobi Lane, who declared for the 2026 NFL draft, called out Brawley Tuitopou, a three-star 2027 recruit from Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah, on X on Feb. 23. Lane claimed Tuitopou stole cleats and other gear from the USC locker room during his Nov. 7 visit, the same day the Trojans beat Northwestern 38-17.https://x.com/cantGuardJak1/status/2025820743850999944?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2025820743850999944%7Ctwgr%5E8ed38b90ff5b9fc23bf2b8f39449802991e3571d%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.totalprosports.com%2Fncaa%2Fformer-usc-star-accuses-2027-recruit-theft-riley-program-scrutiny%2Flol
