USC Replaces Notre Dame With Mighty San Jose State

USC will host San Jose State at the Coliseum on August 29th.

This is the replacement for Notre Dame. Congratulations!

It was expected that USC would find a cupcake because that is what Lincoln Riley wants for non-conference games.

So instead of playing Notre Dame on Thanksgiving weekend, USC will play San Jose State on a hot August day.

Remember when Jen Cohen said USC would play at least one Power 4 non-conference opponent? Not in 2026.

  1. Scheduling SJ State to replace ND is about as weak as popping off & pretending you’re a tough guy, then saying you’ll back it up if the other person drives 100+ miles!

  2. AS A FORMER TROJAN PLAYER TEAM CAPTAIN, AND PLAYED IN 1966-1970, I AM TOTALLY EMBARRASSED BY THE TWITS, RILEY AND COHEN. THE GREATEST INTERSECTIONAL GAME EVER FOR OVER 100 YEARS, AND THESE MORONS CONTINUE TO SCREW UP.

CAN WE PLEASE FIRE RILEY AND STAFF AND GET SOME COMPETENT FOOTBALL MINDS. I WAS SO FORTUNATE TO PLAY FOR JOHN MCKAY AND STAFF, 4 ROSE BOWLS, NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. RECORD IF 31-2-2 .

WAY TO GO AND TAKE THE CUPCAKE ROUTE INSTEAD OF PLAYING BIG TIME FOOTBALL.

  3. I read recently that USC is the ONLY Power 5 school that does not have Power 5 Non-Conference Opponent already scheduled in the next 3-4 years or so. Teams scheduled in 2027 &2028 are UNLV, Nevada, & Fresno State again. There are some openings so hopefully ??

  4. SC already has an impossible 2026 schedule consisting of Ohio St., Washington, Oregon and Penn St. Add Notre Dame on to that and there would be no Playoffs for the Trojans

      1. KAM: –So Notre Dame’s schedule is filled with cupcakes. What is the entertainment value of such a schedule?

DON: Whereas SC’s is filled with “game-of-the week” games like Ohio St., Oregon and Penn St.

      2. KAM: And the tough schedule and “mediocre” record led to the greatest era of USC football.

DON: SC feared no one and crushed all comers including Notre Dame. Every recruit wanted to play for USC back then. Now USC is reduced to the level of UCLA.

  5. I think it’s a smart career move for Riley.

After he gets canned, he’ll have a relationship with SJST so he can become their next coach.

That’s going to be the program level of his next HC job – like Kiffin had to do his time at Florida Atlantic.

Maybe Riley will create an alter ego like Kiff’s Joey Freshwater.

  6. Well it sure beats playing Sac. St (Hornets)…..so many noting the caliber (or lack thereof) per San Jose St. as a replacement of ‘the princess’ why is this all USC’s fault? Cohen et. al. proposed re-scheduling the date of ‘the princess’….and NOT for this year but for next year and on. It was ‘the princess’ that pulled out and remember this was in the hopper for nearly a year (change of date) which ‘the princess’s’ athletic director Petey ‘the green elf’ Bevacqua was working on a ‘counter’ securing BYU as a replacement. USC firm decision to change the date was ‘after’ it was announced ‘the princess’ will always be guaranteed a ‘date’ for the playoffs – always as long as their skankie back end is 12th in line or better for a coronation. Anyone happen to note the date of ‘the princess’ @ BYU….why it just so happens to be 21st October….’the Fighting Nigerians’ finish off 2026 @ SYR on 28th Nov….

    1. Thank you rusoviet for telling it like it is. Does anyone remember when ND let the grass grow and wet down the field before the USC game in order to slow down our potent running attack. I couldn’t care less about ND and their Trojan apologizers for worrying about the princess. When the princess comes down from her ivory tower and joins the Big Ten or even fully joins the ACC, then we should consider playing them on our terms not theirs. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

      1. Ooooo….a member of ‘the princess’ retinue of guards has descended….hmm let’s all remember TN St. and even better is watching the need of the ntl’ media (NYC) all in ‘the princesses’ purse….Miss Haversham you’re approaching 38 and girl you look like you’re 68

  7. KAM: Riley Coyote runs away from Notre Dame to play 3-9 San Jose State!

Meanwhile, Notre Dame replaced USC with BYU, who is better than USC. USC ended a century of tradition with Notre Dame so Lincoln Riley and the AD Jen “Taco Lita” Cohen can avoid a potential 4th loss in a row to the Irish and save their jobs. Riley Coyote looked at USC’s 37-53- 5 record against ND, said “No mas!” and threw in the towel. Yes, these people are that cowardly.

DON: I look forward to USC reinstating the game when some serious people are running USC again!

  8. KAM: Your approval rating is hovering at 36

DON: Your people would never vote for me. As for the rest I only am getting out of the 2nd inning in my first year, but it’s a 9-inning game
