Now that the USC schedule is completed, here is an oddity.
USC plays only two home games after Oct. 3. And one of those games is on Halloween (Ohio State).
This is a byproduct of Lincoln Riley and Jen Cohen dropping the Notre Dame game at the Coliseum and replacing it with an August game vs. San Jose State.
So USC fans will have three horrible home games between August 29th-Sept. 12th, the hottest time of the season. One mitigating factor: The games are so unattractive they might only be wanted for night kickoffs on the Big Ten Network.
USC knows these games are an albatross around its neck so no individual tickets are being sold for the Ohio State game. If you want a ticket to that game through USC, you need to buy season tickets.
This is why so many fans just buy tickets through online websites and blow off the university ticket system.
Some fans have asked if USC will give season-ticket holders a discount since it replaced Notre Dame with San Jose State. Hmmm.
sorry wolfman, that the SC Dummies will have no good games at the crumbling Mausoleum!! if you dorks are willing to camp overnight you might score some tickets to the glorious Rose Bowl to see the hottest ticket in town, Chesney’s Bruins!!
ask for the Dummy Package, comes with a free small popcorn and a lollipop to suck on!

Hey Bucket: Will UCLA still be using the banners to cover up all the empty seats at their home games? Still giving away free end zone seats to the Pasadena school district so kids and their parents can watch a real college football game for free. Not sure about the “real” part.

Wow, what a surprise! ucla tickets at an all time low.
Under Mora, the announced attendance was over 70,000. What a litany of bad moves since then!
Chuck, ice your elbow, and come back when you have something good.

Chuckie,
Fact: Chesney’s ruins are not hot. They have not played even played on game. They have a lot to overcome, including, players asking themselves, why did i sign with the ruins. That is a lot of therapy there.

Scott is such a thorn in the side of the football program. It is one thing to criticize the product on the field but when you start talking about discounts and a loss of revenues you will get the attention of the administration.

Instead of scheduling San Jose we shoulda scheduled Texas….. that woulda been such an unbelievably smart playoff move — the Committee woulda respected us SO, SO much for that —even if we lost —it wouldn’t even be funny how much they woulda respected us…..

Your sarcastic comment nailed it MG. If the NCAA went to a 16 team playoff with 4 automatic bids from the BIG and SEC, teams would play more competitive non conference games but in the present set-up it makes no sense if the goal is to make the playoffs. Ask Texas what happened to them last year. Wolf seems to want to ignore this reality. Sure, we could play Oregon, Ohio State, ND, Penn State and Indiana within an 8 week period but the chances of going to the playoffs with that schedule are slim even if we have a playoff worthy team.

100%! Playing Notre Dame is part of the Old World Order. The game had to be scuttled in order for USC to survive in the Big Ten. This whole situation reminds me SO much of Brunnhilde realizing she needed to self immolate to renew the world. I can’t believe Scott is missing this! [Maybe it’s time to invite him over for some German Beer and the blue ray version of Gotterdammerung.]

MG, you are always right on target. Thanks for knowing the big picture. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

KAM: So you are saying if Carol Folt hadn’t had SC stupidly leave the Pac 12, we would still be playing Notre Dame?
DON: That cements her as the worst USC president ever.

Scooter,
Get positive. Talk about the SC baseball team. They are 7-0 and they are traveling up to Cal Poly SLO. They have a 4 game series up there, starting Thursday. Then next weekend Illnois comes into town. Fight On.

KAM: When do they actually play hard teams? Like LSU or Texas or Georgia Tech? Or is this the New World Order where SC teams avoid competition?
DON: This seems like the basketball team all over again.
