USC Sunday Buzz: Thanks, Enfield!

Did you see SMU lost by 20 at Stanford last night? Thanks, Enfield!

SMU had a 16-3 record and looked like a lock for the NCAA Tournament but has lost 7 of its past 10 games.

Maybe USC and SMU can play each other in the NIT.

  • USC hosts UCLA today at the Galen Center in women’s basketball. After USC lost to lowly Penn State, this could be brutal.

  1. Why knock Enfield– the guy is a much better coach than Musselman, and after all he has done a great job if you look at his 2 years at SMU, and much better than Musselman at SC.

Coaches should be evaluated not whether you like them or not, but how they build a basketball program. Enfield exceeded expectations at SC, Musselman is taking the program down just like Kevin ONeil did.

We have never had a great basketball coach at SC. Randy Bennett, at St. Mary’s wins every year, and should be our next basketball coach at SC.

    1. KAM: Sam Barry wasn’t great?

DON: Hall of Fame Inductions: Barry was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1979 and the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.

Unique Accomplishments: He is one of only three coaches to have led teams to both the Final Four in basketball and the College World Series in baseball, showcasing his versatility and success across multiple sports.
