Fox Sports Bungles USC-UCLA Broadcast

Fox Sports 1 pulled a debacle tonight. It did not broadcast the USC-UCLA game until 10.9 seconds were left in the first half.

That’s because the Panama-Puerto Rico baseball game ran long (and it was a great game!).

Fox said you could watch the USC-UCLA game on its app but several USC fans told me they couldn’t even get the game on the app.

Why did Fox insist on starting the USC-UCLA game at 6 p.m., when it had a baseball game on beforehand? Why not wait until 7 p.m.?

Have any USC games been broadcast at the actual tipoff this season?

      2. KAM: Donovan Dent was Quite Right and  scored 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting and UCLA routed reeling Southern California 89-68 for the second time in 11 days Saturday to end the regular season with its highest-ever point total at Galen Center.

        Mellow Yellow Dent and Eric Daily Jr. combined to score UCLA’s first 15 points of the second half. Dent then ran off five in a row, extending the Bruins’ lead to 72-47. UCLA shot 59% in the second half. Dent also had seven assists. UCLA’s previous single-game point total at Galen Center was 83.

        The Trojans ((18-13, 7-13, 12th in the Big Ten)  lost 81-62 at Pauley Pavilion on Feb. 28, when Dent scored 30 points. The Bruins (21-10, 13-7) have won eight of the last 10 games in the crosstown rivalry and three in a row on the road.

        It was their first win by 20 or more points at USC since 1974.

        USC coach Eric Musselman has yet to beat UCLA in two seasons.

  2. FOX was actually doing USC a big favor. What an embarrasment! There were zero USC fans at the game. EVERYONE KNOWS THE MUSS BUSS HAS CRASHED. The guy has no clue how to build or run a basketball program.

    Another bad hire by our AD—might be time to ride out of town with Musselman.

  3. USC should part company with Musselman immediately.

    If we retain him another season it will only get worse. You cannot build a basketball program with 10 or more transfers every year, and trust me most of the players on this year’s team have already packed their bags.

    Randy Bennett -St. Mary’s, and Mark Madsen Cal —are basketball coaches not NBA D-League material like Musselman.

      1. Sounds like Muss wants to take a buyout and bail out. Hire the St. Mary’s coach, Bennet. He will build a program with good character. I hope that everyone remembers that it was Jen Cohen who hired Coach Andy. Everyone deserves at least one whiff. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

  7. Someone mentioned former USC Basketball Coach Andy Enfield was hired by current AD Jen Cohen. This is incorrect Andy was hired by Pat Haden one of the few things he did right as the AD. MUSSELMAN MUST GO- JEN HIRED HIM AND MUST NOW FIRE HIM BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

  8. KAM: Here’s some good news! Unlike the woeful underachieving mens basketball program , the USC Trojans baseball team’s undefeated 2026 season continues. The Trojans are now 14-0 following a second consecutive 4-0 shutout win over the Illinois Fighting Illini.

    DON: With the win, the Trojans are now one win away from tying their best start to a season in program history.
