Christian Collins To USC

As expected, five-star forward Christian Collins of St. John Bosco committed to USC over Kentucky and Louisville.

This has been coming for months. The good news is there is a decent chance Collins will stay for more than a year. At the same time, it would be unrealistic to expect Collins to come in and dominate. It’s going to take time.

      1. In response to Plow Horse’s answer…

As Ollie said to Coach Norman Dale about the boys not scrimmaging during practices, “That ain’t no fun!”

(We weren’t looking for the real ending to that sentence. :-P)

      2. KAM: And…UCLA.

        DON:

Jim Saia served as an assistant coach at UCLA from 1996 to 2003, where he helped the team achieve significant success, including multiple NCAA tournament appearances and coaching future NBA players. He was known for his offensive strategies and recruiting skills during his tenure there.

  2. Speaking of the over hype on high school basketball players.

Anyone remember- ” Sir Jamelot” -Gerry Wright a 6ft. 8 forward out of San Bernandino.

1 year at SC was a flop I think transferred to Iowa never made the NBA.. Or how about Tom Lewis, Hank Gathers, Bo Kimble, and Rich Grande all super hyped players who all left USC after 1 years other than Grande who shot bricks as a shooter.

    1. KAM: Former USC coach Andy “Football Head” Enfield under fire following SMU’s 89-79 NCAA loss to Miami of Ohio. The loss continued a trend from Enfield’s time at USC. Although the Trojans were consistently very good during his tenure there, they did not experience a ton of NCAA Tournament success. Despite winning more than 20 games seven times in 11 years under Enfield, USC made it past the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament just once during that stretch.

      1. Yes! You are forgiven for your many [many, many] incorrect predictions, Uncle Rico. Moreover, in the immortal words of Alan Rickman from Galaxy Quest, “You shall be avenged!”
