Spring break is over and USC resumes practice Tuesday.
A pretty quiet position has been linebacker, which is not a surprise because it remains a spot where the roster is not exactly stacked.
It’s going to be interesting to see if USC can add another linebacker in the transfer portal. I can tell you that the multiple linebacker coaches would like some kind of roster upgrade there. This is why a public scrimmage would be good because it would show people that USC does need at least one more linebacker.
But will there be a top linebacker available? Or just another guy who will plug into the lineup?
It’s not really important in spring to see another wide receiver or tailback highlight. It’s better to see some linebacker or defensive line highlights.
- USC is ranked No. 12 in the nation in the Baseball America and D1 baseball polls.
- USC women’s water polo upset No. 1-ranked Stanford, 11-10, over the weekend.
- Makai Lemon is one of 14 players from the NFL Class of 2026 signed by Adidas. Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza is also among the group.
“Owns” always had the guts to show up on “Inside USC” after a humiliating bruin defeat [or embarrassing collapse…. or colossal unconditional surrender]…..

I wonder after seeing him model those tailored suits this season if he should go into modeling for “midgets”. Seriously, he looks sharp in those the suits he wears, and is a good basketball coach. However, it is quite obvious UCLA has not recruited well in basketball lately, and how much longer will the UCLA Boosters back him up since just a trip to the NCAA tourney is not enough in Westwood. I had to laugh during the game last night where he yelled and screamed at the much taller ref who not only towered over him but quickly issued a technical that killed UCLA’s momentum.

Wonder what happened to OWNS– Did he finally switch to Cardinal and Gold…….or maybe he took off for a new location with one of the other pigeons who attend games at the Rose Bowl.

KAM: USC is now known for ducking competition and building up phony records and getting fans hopes up only to be dashed when reality bites.
DON: What good is making the playoffs when you get humiliated by 40 points once you get there and play a top program?

USC: The score was deceptive.
They fought like warriorettes.

Not sure that a public scrimmage i.e. Spring game would be necessary for the SC coaches to realize they are understaffed at linebacker

Hi Scott, we don’t need a scrimmage to see the team’s weaknesses because we have you to tell us all of the shortcomings. That way we get the bad news from you, but can have blissful thoughts about the season like all hopeful fans usually do before the reality of the season starts. Big game for baseball against Oregon State this week. This baseball season is more than USC fans could have expected, and we need to fully enjoy it. Other than UCLA and possibly Oregon, could you please let us know what other teams in the Big Ten have strong baseball programs. From unranked to 12th ranked is very good, but as we know with rankings, previous year’s success especially in the SEC usually gets you into the rankings. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

KAM: USC Crushes USC 101-61.
The last time the USC women’s basketball team gave up over 100 points was on December 21, 1991, when they lost to Stanford with a score of 100-78.
DON: Talk about humiliation!

Sorry ucla, but may as well give the crown to South Carolina now. Their players could make some boys teams.
JuJu wouldn’t have made a difference in that game. The Trojans had difficulty getting off clean shots, and gave up 60-points in the paint. SC needs a bully defender/rebounder forward

wolfman, i’d like to take this opportunity to commend Scrappy Mick Cronin for a valiant effort from the end of the Big10 tourney to the NCAA’s, for racking up wins despite the loss of his top scorer and rebounder!! there is little doubt with Thibideaux in the line-up we are at least in the Sweet 16!!
insofar as the lady Bruins are concerned, they actually covered the biggest spread ever in womens BB, 52pts!! so sorry you have to continue to take a knee during this exciting time, wolfman, pero no te preocupes, i’ll keep the Dummies updated on our gals’ champeeenship run!!!
