USC Notes: Nice Turnout At Dedeaux

UCLA will hold its spring football game May 2 at the Rose Bowl. And it will be free.

USC has finally announced something for the fans. On April 11, the players will be available for photos and autographs for an hour before the annual Swim with Mike fundraiser. Wow!

  • There is a decent turnout today at Dedeaux Field for the weekday baseball game.

Unfortunately for the Trojans, they trail Oregon State, 9-0, in the fourth inning.

      1. Chuck, I’ll give you ucla’s contribution to the internet. That was an entirely different university back in the day with chancellor Chuck Young.

So Cal is referencing the here and now in westwood. And I fear that Chuck Young is turning over in his grave…

    1. I wonder if the Spring game will outdraw the regular season home games. The over/under on opening game attendance at the Rose Bowl is 20,000. That number includes free endzone seats to PUSD students.

      1. KAM: It’s sad what Chianti Dan Guerrero did to UCLA football , driving off the loyal Bruin alumni when he quadrupled season ticket prices in 1995. Now you could swing a dead cat on the 50 yard line and not hit a soul .

DON: He deserves to be in the Bruin Hall of Shame!

    2. Scott never disappoints with his negative comments about USC. Really, a comment about a cancelled political debate on campus. And, praise for UGLA for holding a scrimmage that is open to the public…..I’m sure that they will have an overflow crowd at the Rose Bowl, and finally a mention about USC fan appreciation day. By the way Scott, our excellent baseball team lost to Oregon State so I guess that our team is no longer having a good season. Where is the joy in your life? Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

    1. KAM: Cowardly Gabby is back to celebrate the 16th anniversary of ObamaCare! Barack Hussein Obama promised Obamacare would save the average family in America $2,500 a year… Instead, healthcare costs increased by 92% since it was passed, while median family income increased by about 13%.

DON: This is considered by most Democrats like Cowardly Gabby as Obama’s greatest accomplishment!

  2. KAM: A proposed gubernatorial forum hastily cobbled together in the hours after USC canceled its Tuesday debate fell apart because the “candidates of color” who were excluded from the previously planned all white event were unable to show up in person at KNBC-TV’s studio in Universal City, according to multiple sources.

DON: Facing mounting pressure that its debate selection criteria excluded every candidate of color, the university canceled the debate late Monday. On Tuesday morning, Fossil Fuel Robber Baron Tom Steyer — a Democrat — proposed holding an alternative face-off, with KNBC, inmstead of USC, moderating. But the candidates who had not been invited to the USC debate (Becerra, Thurmond, Villaraigosa and Yee) had already made other commitments. Cowardly Gabby hardest hit!
