What A Difference Four Years Makes!

Four years ago, USC set a record for its highest-attended spring football game with 33,427 fans.

How did we go from that to the few hundred who showed up at a fan appreciation day?

I’ll take a stab: In his first year, Lincoln Riley wanted a spring showcase on ESPN to try and promote the program and get people talking about USC again, with a helpful nudge from Coach Bohn, of course.

Today, he is comfortable and no longer cares. So if someone in the athletic dept. suggests a spring game, he brushes them aside. His office has a “do not disturb” sign on it for these type of inquiries.

  1. What does it say about USC that they can’t buy this fraud of a coach out ?

So he got the top recruiting class, what’s that worth these days ? He can waste talent not no other anyway.

People think Patterson is going to make a difference, not likely. Look at his teams after RPO became the offense du jour, he couldn’t stop it to save his job, not to mention that he’s got to deal with Coach Clock Mismanagement.

Wolf should have a pool as to what game week Patterson pulls a Pola on Rileys face.

    1. Please wait for the Oregon game before giving up on Riley…if he wins, USC may be on a new track.

      1. KAM: What about the Ohio State game?

DON: Shouldn’t USC be on par with the Buckeyes after 4 years with Riley Coyote having all the players he recruited now?

    1. Charlie, credit should be given where credit is due. USC and UGLA are both better when they compete against each other at a high level. If Jazzy stays at USC next year, there will be USC women on the WNBA stage after next season. The unfortunate injury to Juju certainly derailed USC title hopes for the past two years. Coach Linda is a very good coach who is developing a strong team both from high school recruiting and the portal. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

      1. Right on Brother, hopefully JUJU is all the way back so we can some great games next season. our team is actually in shambles after our six super seniors all left, but thank god for the transfer portal!

      2. Charlie, I have a daughter who graduated from UCLA and got a great education and an outstanding career; so, I am most appreciative for the Bruins. Of course, she is out of the will if she roots against my Trojans, but against any other team I wish them good luck. Same for one of my son’s who went to ASU. One of my cousins was on the UCLA women’s golf team. The beauty of living in the Los Angeles area is that you are able to have friends and family in both schools…a wonderful rivalry and I am glad that they jointly became Big Ten members……exactly what ND should have done if the Irish were not so full of themselves. 3. It was probably necessary for karma to sling crap at UCLA after Ambitious’ uplifting post…
