USC Morning Buzz: A Sore Subject Returns

Remember Chad Baker-Mazara? He was dismissed from the basketball team by Eric Musselman.

Baker-Mazara finally got around to addressing his dismissal.

The former USC player said there are “false and misleading narratives regarding his character and age have circulated publicly.”

He added that he “is a committed, team-first competitor who approaches the game with intensity, professionalism, and respect, and has consistently shown resilience while persevering through injuries and continuing to contribute.”

Now why did he wait two months to say this? And why didn’t he address why he fell out with Musselman? This statement doesn’t really answer anything. Who is advising him?

  • Meanwhile, Georgetown guard KJ Lewis has committed to USC.

  1. The guy wants to continue making money and the NBA is his only option at this point. He’d like to clear his name, whether it’s waranted or not

    1. Baker-Mazara was chosen 1st overall in the 2026 Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) draft by the Gigantes de Carolina, don’t think that’s the NBA

  3. Eric Musselman is another clown that should be shown the door.

One day USC will hire a competent basketball coach, we just may never live long enough to see that day.

    1. She was hired in 2023, probably given a five year deal but no one knows the term of her deal.

You expect WOKE USC to fire a woman ? Maybe they can ease her out like they did Folt, but she ain’t going to get fired.

  4. Taco Cohen is worthless- the icing on the cake was hiring Eric Musselman, and surely wasn’t due to his successful NCAA basketball career, or his height since he is a midget also like UCLA’S Cronin.

Cohen, has spent alot sof money created lots of bureaucracy within the Athletic Department, and hired Musselman to top it off for 5 million along with a worthless coaching staff including his son.

Taco Cohen- should be the mascot for Tito’s Tacos in Culver City.

I hear she likes her Tacos very fresh and “crispy”
