Here is a tweet I stumbled across that I wrote in 2010 after Pete Carroll resigned from USC.

Imagine how much better off USC would have been if they took my advice.

  1. Sure, but just think, the choices that were made gave meaning to the lives of Owns, Chuck Bucket, and Miguel, and so many other gutty trolls.

      3. KAM: Former Trojan star WR Zachariah Branch was ARRESTED at 1:34 AM for standing on a public sidewalk… Official police report on Zachariah Branches arrest:

        “A male, later identified as Zachariah Branch, continued to stand on the sidewalk without making an attempt to move. I continued to give Zachariah Branch verbal commands to move from blocking the sidewalk and advised that if he did not, he would receive a citation for blocking the sidewalk. Zachariah Branch smirked, then stepped backwards and to the right, then remained standing upon the public sidewalk, so as to obstruct, hinder, and impede free passage upon the sidewalk as well as impede free ingress/egress to or from the adjacent places of business. Due to those actions and Zachariah Branch’s failure to comply with multiple verbal lawful commands, he was placed under arrest for misdemeanor Obstruction of LEO and received a citation for Obstructing Public Sidewalks.”

        DON: Nothing good happens after midnight.

      4. Zachariah brought this on himself …but… this is a setup. NOBODY gets arrested for statutory nuisance for simply standing on a sidewalk unless adjacent [angry] storeowners or [blocked] pedestrians make a complaint…and…are included in the filing as complaining witnesses to be called at trial in the event of a Not Guilty plea.

  3. Scott, you still might get your wish with Patterson if the coming season has head coaching problems. However, Harbaugh, Riley and Whittingham are off the table. The big get for next year should be Bennett from St. Mary’s to USC. As for baseball it is getting obvious that we don’t have a lockdown closer. Too bad that Kyle Hurt doesn’t still have eligibility with his 100 mph fastball. Well, there is still water polo, track and field, women’s golf and men’s tennis for possible NCAA championships this spring. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

        Gabby, You have the choice to stop participating in the board anytime you want. I have scaled back my posts alot because honestly, it is a waste of time to get too involved.

        You seem to go back and forth between being nice and hostile and everything in-between. Maybe just chill out for a while and do something more productive/positive.

  7. None of the guys Scott mentioned were interested in the USC job. Patterson is a Texan who loved TCU and Whittingham was a Mormon who wanted to coach at Utah. Harbaugh wanted to coach in the NFL and Riley preferred Oregon State and then Nebraska to USC.
