Lincoln Riley is creating false narratives, which of course, gullible people (like the fanboy media) believe with no pushback.
Riley told On3 that USC has now entered its championship window.
“Taking this over, you knew you had to go fight like hell just to try to get this window opened,” he said.
Does Riley think everyone forgot that in his first season, USC only needed to win the Pac-12 championship game to make the College Football Playoff?
Does he think people forget that Washington made the College Football Playoff in Year 2 of Kalen DeBoer and Arizona State made it in Year 2 of Kenny Dillingham?
Did those schools require less of a rebuild than USC?
Riley is a big-time excuse maker. Now he has to pretend like USC is Washington State in order to make himself look better for failing to meet expectations.
- One little-known detail about Rod Martin is that after he retired he returned to USC and worked as a manager at the Information Scienes Institute.

RIP – ROD MARTIN.
A great example that hard work pays off. Rod, was not high recruited out of high school, but never gave up his dream to play at USC, and the NFL. I remember he and former USC tailback Ricky Bell were very close both coming to USC from LA City High Schools- Bell (Fremont), Martin (Hamilton). I believe Rod played at Hamilton with former UW/NFL QB Warren Moon.
I don’t think I can every remember a player who improved so dramatically every year he played the game even in the NFL with the Raiders.
The very best to Rod and his family. He was a great Trojan, and Raider

Rod Martin attended Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, California, two years ahead of Warren Moon.
DON: They both played football at the same high school, but not at the same time.

Moon became the starter his junior year, but probably saw some snaps the year before. AI doesn’t get it right all the time.
In fact, it’s wrong a LOT.

You only proved what I wrote.
“Probably saw some snaps the year before” = “Limited playing time until his junior year”. LMAO

BTW, “did not play varsity his sophomore year”.
Once again…just because a source makes that claim, doesn’t necessarily mean I believe it. WOuld depend on the source.

Heck, Joe Montana probably brags that he played with Rudy, even though he was injured and standing on the sidelines when Rudy got a chance to play. 😛
(I’m well aware that loser Joe talked smack about the dramatic license that was used in the making of the movie. What a crybaby!)

KAM: Jack Epstein was head coach at Hamilton High for 21 years (from 1967-1988). Warren Moon said in his Hall of Fame speech:”Then I went on to high school where Jack Epstein, my high school coach, came up to me one spring and told me, Young man, you’re going to be my varsity starting quarterback next year. That’s after the year before as a sophomore that I hardly ever got on the field because I had another coach that didn’t believe I could play the position.”
DON: Is that enough proof for you?

Wiley said “you knew you had to fight…to try to get this window open.” I presume he is talking about the NIL situation and how SC was behind the big boys when Wiles got here.
It is basically a ‘pay for play’ climate now and the Trojans are finally catching up

The smog, the traffic, the crime, the cost…WORTH IT! 🙂
But I can understand why some would feel differently. Hope they find what they’re looking for in their new states.

the tired “California has a homeless problem” is likely the most simple-minded of all the right wing grievance factory conspiracy theories. the simple fact is, if you were homeless, where would you go?? Alabama? Mississippi? Kansas? Obviously many of the homeless migrate to places that are wealthier, more tolerant of others and the weather is fair. not rocket science. the majority of problematic homeless are on the streets for one simple reason: Reagan closed down all the mental facilities to save money. further we dont take care of our vets, so they end up in the streets with little or no needed health and mental care, and mingle with the mentally ill. to blame CA for this situation is ignorant and only distracts from actual solutions. Californians ARE leaving the state, all the Boomers are retiring, they sell their little 3 bedroom homes in Downey and buy mansions in TEX, NC etc and still have plenty of cash left over.
Californians who put down their own state to parrot imbecilic RT Wing jibber-jabber are the worst. their lack of any grasp on reality is embarrassing. the coasts are Blue because the educated and wealthier people congregate there.they are responsible for the vast majority of commerce, art, and culture. can can you imagine the US if Kansas was the capitol and our top State?? (shudder)
so to all the pisss-ants who bash CA cause the Peeddo in Charge doesn’t like us: FU!
