USC Notes: Important DeBoer Contract Details

Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer signed a contract extension.

Here are the important details to Jen Cohen.

If DeBoer leaves, he will owe Alabama:

Through Jan. 31, 2027: $10 million
Through Jan. 31, 2028: $8 million
Through Jan. 31, 2029: $6 million
Afterward: $0

  • Colgate guard Jalen Cox has committed to USC. He averaged 17.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists last season. He played at Loyola High School in Los Angeles.

The question I have is whether a guard like Cox would come to USC if he thought Alijah Arenas was returning next season.

  • USC point guard Malia Samuels has committed to Indiana.
  • Lindsey Vonn will be the commencement speaker at the USC Annenberg School of Communication ceremony next month.

      1. It’s hilarious the way she throws Barstow out there as evidence she’s willing to back it up. No one is stupid enough to drive there and she knows this. It’s why she feel safe throwing it out there.

        She’s the Chihuahua barking from behind the Barstow fence. Plow Horse said Pasadena. If she’s the one talking shxt, she should be the one who drives.

  2. If Arenas returns they would have a lot of talent. But that is unlikely and the new 4/5 star Freshman will take a couple of seasons to develop.

    Why is Lindsay Vonn a commencement speaker? I looked it up.

    ” Vonn is an investor in Angel City FC, a professional women’s soccer team in Los Angeles that is majority-owned by USC Annenberg Dean Willow Bay and her husband, Bob Iger.” So if you are friends or business associates of the Dean of the department you may have the honor of being a commencement speaker. Nothing ever really changes when it comes to these things.

KAM: Lindsey Vonn should be a very captivating Commencement speaker, especially is she dishes about her high-profile relationships, including marriage to fellow skier Thomas Vonn and engagement to NHL player P.K. Subban. She also dated the lusty druggie super star golfer Tiger Woods, actor Alexander Ludwig, NFL coach Kenan Smith, and most recently, actor and entrepreneur Diego Osorio.

      DON: Wasn’t that an old 1970s movie, “Bring Me The Head of Diego Osorio”?

  3. Giving Coach DeBore an extension means that Alabama has given up on the guy becoming another Coach Saban although SC never recovered once Carrot decided to leave for greener pastures
