USC Routs Lamar, So Now What?

USC blew out Lamar, 19-6, today and will play the loser of tonight’s Texas State-Texas A&M game on Sunday at 1 p.m. PT. The TV situation is TBD. It would be nice if ESPN actually picked up a game.

Mason Edwards pitched 4.1 innings today, so does that mean he is available at some point this weekend? It’s all hands on deck right now. The season is on the line. Grant Govel went 5.1 innings Friday so can he be used for a couple innings?

Andy Stankiewicz needs to have the courage to throw the kitchen sink at Texas State or Texas A&M. So let’s see what happens.

Typical USC, of course, with 19 runs today and only four yesterday.

      1. Michael, did the gutties finally defeat that girl school, St. Mary’s? I hope they didn’t have to resort to using some of those trans athletes.

  2. KAM: The USC Men’s Golf Team wrapped up its second round of play at the NCAA Championships, held at The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. on Saturday, May 30.

The Trojans found trouble throughout the afternoon, shooting a 300 (+12) on Saturday, giving them a 597 (+21) total, sliding USC down into 29th place out of 30 teams. After tomorrow’s round, the top 15 teams and nine players from non-advancing teams will make the cut for Monday’s fourth and final round of stroke play.
